It's mind boggling you can make these accusations. First it was Florida paying him, now it is FSU? I mean, any big time recruit who goes to a school that is playing for the National Championship game, dominating College Football and has a strong history of recruiting top players has to be getting paid. Right? Come on..

Also, I hate to be that guy, but let's not pretend like our school is so innocent. Clearly, Shapiro and some of our former coaches did some shady **** with big time recruits in the past. It happens everywhere.

It is clear to see that this pay-to-play epidemic ain't going no where.

I agree that pay-to play is not going anywhere anytime soon; however, in this case, I am not totally convinced that Cook has been paid off. Right now, Florida State is dominating college football, playing for a National Championship and developing great talent into the NFL. It is what it is. In addition, I believe Cook attended the Miami/FSU game in Doak and the Miami/Florida game in Sun Life, which game do you think made more of an impression on him? I can tell you from attending both games, If I were an 18 year old kid, I would be more attracted to playing in the Doaks and Swamps of the world. I'm just being honest, Sun Life is a major disadvantage to us in this sense. I hated that Cook attended that game, cause I knew it was going to influence him to strongly consider FSU had the Gators kept struggling.

I hope that Golden and company can sell him on the vision of what we are trying to do here, bring Miami back to domincance and win cookies, early playing time, and playing with and in front of "family."

Absolutely NO ONE here has claimed that Cook could not have legit interest in FSU. What I find HIGHLY dubious, is how as soon as he is now wavering and seriously consideirng us, and now our staff, RENOWN for how great they get along with families on OVs, and being class acts everywhere, are annoying granny. While she fawns over FSU's staff. IMO it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and weve seen this same duck before, and it looks JUST like this.

I said Grandma's sudden distaste for us "visiting too much" less than a week since Cook began seriously considering us, is pretty shady. You can also amalgamate that with the slew of rumors from guys around Miami who have been saying this for a while.

Its an uphill battle for him, which really sucks, Im not tripping though didnt expect to get the kid anyway. Like I said close out with another DT, S, and LB, then maybe steal one or two maybe of Dixon, Rudolph, Pelon, Cook, Sony, JC, and Lane. Oh Yeah and hold on to Valentine and Chad......
