Congrats Gregory Rousseau

Dude was basically saying that he's a project. Not sure if that was him but someone said coaches like him but scouts don't like him. Lots of coverage sacks, late QB sacks, etc....

15.5 sacks in 7 starts. That aint luck.
Everyone else in the ACC played those same "lousy teams" and could have moved a guy inside, but somehow no one else got 15.5 sacks.

Im glad I didnt come in here to a bunch of mopes saying "Yeah he went in the first round BUT he still lost LOTS of money by opting out"... Be happy for this kid. Seems like a really good kid and he played his a$$ off for us during his short time here.

Glad he got drafted where he was supposed to go in the first round and he went to a team with a **** good D so hes not depended on to be a superstar right away. He will do fine in Buffalo.

Two DEs in the first round. How often do we see that here?

Opting out didn’t cost him a cent. The reason he fell from from the top 15 to the end of the first was his below average athletic testing numbers at pro day. Playing in 2020 would not have made his 40 time any faster or improved his three cone drill time.

He gets heat for being a sack scavenger. Coverage sacks, tackling the QB that another player pressured into him, etc. That’s true but if it’s easy to do that, why doesn’t everyone else do it?
I don’t agree with that assessment. His testing numbers were good to very good, just not off the charts. (His 10 yard split was off the charts.) His height, arm length and hand size were also off the charts. You can’t teach that.

He fell because when you pick apart his film, he’s got a lot of areas to improve on and a lot of his sacks weren’t what they’re looking to project (came inside, or were ‘coverage’ sacks). Remember, he only plated as a frosh, so there is both room for improvement and a dearth of date to judge from.

Ultimately, he got drafted on physical potential. If he had played in ‘20 and shown improvementin what they’re looking for, he’d have gone higher. But if he played in ‘20 didn’t show improvement, he probably drops on further evidence of lack of improvement.

Buffalo building something off of the Patriots ashes. Phins going to face a tough defense.
Phins have a better Defense.

Miami is excellent at getting off the field in key moments, ranking first in third-down percentage, second in points allowed per game, eighth in sacks per pass attempt and ninth in red-zone percentage. The Dolphins are also among the league's best in completion percentage allowed over expectation at -3.5 and passer rating allowed (83.1, good for third-lowest), and their 13 interceptions are tied for third-most in the NFL, with Xavien Howard's league-high eight picks buoying this number.

Emmanuel Ogbah has enjoyed quite a productive 2020 campaign, recording 40 disruptions, including eight sacks, and his five turnovers caused by pressure are the third-most in the entire league behind only Myles Garrett (seven) and Shaquil Barrett (six). Miami also blitzes more than most teams at over 40 percent, helping explain the team's interception rate.

The Dolphins appear to have turned a corner in their second season under Flores, taking on his defensive identity and riding it to an 8-4 mark. The future is bright in Miami.

You have to understand the people saying his testing numbers were bad probably don't realize that a couple of the best DE's in the NFL had terrible testing days.
