Just wanted to say congrats on the win Sunday night and thanks for all the back-and-forth last week.

We said it all last week, this game was going to be won in the trenches - and it certainly was. Anthonie Knapp, our LT had a PFF rating of 10.5. I honestly didn't know the scale could score that low. Our RT, Guerby Lambert, had a score of 19.5. Again, didn't know that was possible. We certainly missed Charles Jagusah, our best OL by a long shot IMO.

There were also head scratchers from our side - Jeremiyah Love is a Ferrari (I know most of you think he's overrated), but he was massively underutilized. Price averaged over 7 ypc, then never got a carry again. I think the game got away from Denbrock (our OC) a little bit. You guys put him in a bind. CJ answered the bell better than any of us could have expected. We'll see if we can turn this around, but overall a very disappointing display of football. Credit to Miami.

Bain is an animal.

Beck is a problem, when given time. We only had four pressures the entire game. Your OL should be a finalist for the Joe Moore award. I did hate the amount of zone we ran, but Toney sort of forced us to play zone since he seems impossible to cover in Man. So shifty off the line.

Miami seemed to be a much more complete product. We still seem to be searching for an identity a bit.

Good luck the rest of the year - feels like you're the new favorite to win the ACC.

Great game by both teams, as expected it was going to come down to the finish. After A&M, I don't think you guys have a tough matchup left. Ironic that we both need to win out to make each others SOS look good.

It was a great, respectful and considerate back and forth OP. We typically get ******** and trolls. LOL.

The game played out as many expected - control of the trenches. As much as Canes dislike your team, the reality is you have a very good one and I would expect you’ll have a very good season.

Best of luck and maybe we’ll see you in the playoffs.

Classy post sir - good luck the rest of the way… unless we see you in the cfp

Speaking for myself, I appreciate you and your contributions to our board.

I did try to tell the ND fans that the Miami heat/humidity is something...extra...and beyond what you experienced with Texas A&M last year. I know your whole team didn't fall victim to it, but Knapp certainly did.

As for Jeremiyah Love, I will never tell you that he is "overrated". But last year, the highest number of carries he had was 16 (once). And 15 carries (once) in the 2023 season (bowl game). All I was trying to say last week was that if Miami prevents the "home run" running play of 40+ yards, then we have a shot. Keep in mind, we had TWO running backs that had 15 carries apiece. I DO AGREE WITH YOU that ND should be using Love more frequently, but at the same time, we held him in check as well.

Beck was calm and in control. His numbers would have been better if the refs had called more of the P.I. penalties. Still, the bad reffing (fortunately) did not cost of the game.

All the best to you personally, and hopefully ND will look good for the rest of the year, so that Miami gets credit for beating a very good team. At this time last year, a couple of ACC schools thought they had accomplished a miracle by beating F$U.

Was good back n forth and appreciated your info in regards to your team. Im sure you had better idea of our team being on here than most of your media as they seemed to dismiss us having any ability to play with you guys.

It sucks to lose but you will be a tough out for most teams on your schedule and you have a talented QB who in theory should get better ( I want to see how he reacts when blitzed as we didnt really do much, tho most teams dont have resources for that on your schedule).

I know your fans look at Love like ferrari and both backs look like they move at different speed when bouncing outside but theri usage is very low and something we mentioned prior. They just dont give enough touches. I am sure the ferrari will break out against Purdue or someone tho. Both backs should get touches, keeping a back out the game and one of main weapons because they got smacked and fumble seems counterintuitive but we will take it.

I do think your wr were kinda overrated and your media underestimated the upgrades we made at DB. Im still tryna confirm if Greathouse played, not sure yet. But again in system and schedule I am sure they will go off, I know Denbrock is TE coach and very high on the TE but not sure why he was such focal point.

On defense you guys will be fine, seems like your pass D is like those aggressive NBA defenses where the refs give them a pass because they dont want to call a foul every play so they get allowed to play aggressive and tug and hold, mug the WR. The pass D is solid. We tried to tell you guys that if Mario/Mirabal do ANYTHING they will devote resources to keep Beck clean, we said a statue like Tyler Van Dyke was sacked less than Ward because that will always be priority for them.

You guys should still have a great season and QB again in theory should get better with more experience.

Much appreciated. I'll admit Carr was more of a competitor than I expected.

Thanks for coming through the best Canes board on the planet. Thoughtful and sound reasoning from you in discussions leading up to the game.

Carr performed way better than I thought. I wonder if he would have been able to push the ball downfield more if given the opportunity (3 air yards per attempt).

Two good teams with great talented battling it out.

You're good in my book, bud, and I gave you some ****, lol. Carr played way better than I expected as the game went on, and your team showed a ton not losing by 3 scores and even tying the game back up in the 4th. Best of luck the rest of the season. Hope we meet in the playoff and we beat you by 50

I think ND will get better. Think they beat A&M at home and have a clear shot at running the table with the schedule. Carr will be good by October. They’ll get Love the ball. See you in the playoffs

Classy post! If it means anything, I think you'll easily be in the top 10 by postseason and after watching CJ play, I wouldn't bet against ND against the Aggies. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if ND ends the season at 11-1 and ranked in the top 5 and I certainly hope you will.

ND has been on track for the last couple of years, an envious position. I’m just elated that our boys could be in dogfight (which I expected) with yours. It speaks more to the theme that Mario and the U are making progress after two disappointing decades, than what would be termed as a minor setback for you guys, breaking in a new QB. Good luck to you.

ND is way too talented to get punked like that for 40 minutes. Idk what the answer is, but good luck trying to find it. Lucky for you, your schedule doesn’t have anymore teams close to as physical as Miami.
