ND stays Independent, B1G & SEC stay at 16 teams for now. Big 12 or PAC-12 doesn't add value to the top ACC teams so now what? Seems teams are stuck for now as well.

ND only has this much cachet because they're able to schedule games with P5 opponents. Once SEC and Big 10 go fully incestuous and schedule fewer OOC games, they could be left scheduling the likes of Wagner and Central Connecticut.

BIG 12 will raid the PAC 12. It's very clear at least one of the 3 conferences in question is going to cease being a major player in football. Big 12 came close to that awhile back, so they've learned their lesson and will be the hunter this time. They're at 12 teams once OU and TX leave and the other four come on board. They'll cherry pick some combo of Oregon, UW, UA, ASU, Utah and CU, or maybe all of them.

which seemed like the scenario when you considered the GoR issues with leaving the conf

Dan Patrick said he has a "source" that told him that the Irish are slow playing everyone. As a result the B1G has its sights on Miami and UNC because of multiple factors including TV sets. The SEC wants Clemson and FSU. He thinks that is the next wave.............

why would the ACC want to negotiate a lower buyout? ESPN also owns the ACC network lol. they'd be losing their two of their most watched teams in that spot. id hold them hostage until they pay up bc they're not going anywhere till then

Look at the long play ... the SEC becoming one of 2 super conferences ... 24 teams ... becomes SUPER VALUABLE and would enable ESPN to eliminate the overhead of the ACC Network. Consolidate. You can be sure ESPN is running all sorts of scenarios and keeping the ACC as is ... is not a viable long term answer.

ESPN just spent millions in creating and staffing the network. they're not just gonna give up on it right now

Caught about an hour of SEC network Segment today and the guy Chris Russo has to be the biggest Miami hater I’ve ever seen. Dudes hatred made him sound clueless. Even Finnebaun thinks Miami is about to make a huge rise under cristobal, but said he though notre dame should be the first team SEC tries to get, while Dan orlovsky said he thought Miami would be the best fit.
 
don't have the time to read through 110 pages so.. is Miami/Clemson to SEC or B1G still a done deal?
