We don't throw 3 picks and there's no reason to bother taking a knee.We keep ignoring that the gtech game was over lol
Quarterback is still the most important position in sports and this season is proof. Great quarterback play can make an average team good and poor quarterback play can make an otherwise good team into an average one.Cut the turnovers in half and itâs a different game.
We have been in every game and beat two talented teams we werenât expected to.
Really missed a huge opportunity to change the perception and trajectory of this program with all the mistakes.
Yeah, I'm only putting the two picks on bad quarterback play though. One fumble was by a running back and the other was a poor shotgun snap. Turnovers were definitely the difference in the game though. Some would argue that the 4-0 turnovers in that game had alot to do with it, I think we fumbled goin in and had another turnover when driving early, while alos giving them another right on doorstep of their endzone.. Defense has played one bad quarter and it was in that game tho..
Agreed and I am not defending their WB recruiting but you also have to have a good scheme to go with the QB, which I know you would agree with.Quarterback is still the most important position in sports and this season is proof. The thing that worries me is that this staff seems to believe that they can skate by with average quarterback play as long as they're solid on the line and to me that's a recipe for mediocre seasons. We've seen the line protect great this year while Van Dyke threw picks and Williams threw the ball to nobody in particular. We need to put a greater emphasis on signing better quarterbacks.
Itâs football, **** happens âŚNot taking a knee under a minute is worse than throwing picks. Its disgusting yall tryna take blame off of mario for that lolWe don't throw 3 picks and there's no reason to bother taking a knee.
My point still stands.Itâs football, **** happens âŚNot taking a knee under a minute is worse than throwing picks. Its disgusting yall tryna take blame off of mario for that lol
This. Wouldâve been great to go tempo right after recovering the onside kick to really deflate them.We lost the game because of the 2 chances we had a chance to really steal and keep momentum our gameplan was to settle for field goals.
Last drive of the first half: 1st and 10 from FSU 31. 1:20 to go and 2 timeouts. We only got off 5 plays including getting stuffed from 3rd and 1 from the 4 yard line. Settled for field goal. 6 plays for 22 yards
1st drive of 2nd half. Recover onside kick at FSU 47. 5 plays for 14 yards (first play was a 20 yard run too. So lost 6 yards the next 3 plays). Settled for field goal.
Both those drives should have been Dawson's time to pull out his best plays and completely take momentum by going up 21-10 instead of 13-10.
Miami would be 9-1 with good QB play this year. UNC bent our defense over so I'm not going to give us a win in that one but every other loss would have been an easy win with just average QB play.
Spot on!Emory had ALL DAY to throw, again, just like TVD has all year, and we still completed 33% of our passes. Absolutely disgusting QB play since the GT game man, makes me sick to my stomach.
Dawson let him throw it some, too. First drive of the game from your own 2 yard line on 1st down, he's got buddy standing back there waiting to take a deep shot. And the ball was nowhere close to Colbie. 3rd and 6 from the 6, nothing conservative there either, has him dropping back to the goal line and waiting on a middle breaking route that's WIDE OPEN. Dreadful throw. I'm sure the kid was nervous, and he did make a few OK throws, obviously the 85 yarder to George shouldn't have gone for 85 yards but it was still a very well thrown ball. The fade to George for the TD was a pretty simple throw but still it was perfectly placed and on time (what a gorgeous, patient route too. Shoutout JG and Kevin Beard, that thing was pretty).
But he threw the ball 23 times for 175 yards. 2 of the passes went for 85 and 43.
So that means he threw 21 passes that gained a total of 47 yards the rest of the game. Brutal.
Way better than Jacurri stop this.Emory had ALL DAY to throw, again, just like TVD has all year, and we still completed 33% of our passes. Absolutely disgusting QB play since the GT game man, makes me sick to my stomach.

The difference is Josh Allenâs interceptions that are a result of interceptable passes is extremely high, and the Bills are also fumbling a lot. Letâs say normal QBs throw bad passes and they hit DBs hands 20 times. Well mostly this may result in say 15 interceptionsâŚwell for Allen this season itâs resulted in 22 because not only are all the ones hitting DBs in the hands resulting in interceptions, so are some that are hitting his own receivers in the hands like what happened last game lol.Agreed and I am not defending their WB recruiting but you also have to have a good scheme to go with the QB, which I know you would agree with.
Look at Josh Allen. Heâs always thrown picks. Picks are up this year, TDs are down, the rating is pretty much the same and his QB rushes are way down. As was pointed out by others, the scheme was very basic and thus predictable. Seems to be the same thing with Dawson. Not excusing TVD but the OC hasnât changed or done anything different.

In the end, yes. We could be Louisville record wise. Their stats arenât really better than ours. Easier schedule but also no boneheaded coaching and better offensive scheme.
My point had to do more with the offensive game plan. I am pinning some of it on the QB and some on the OC (Dorsey). The difference is Josh Allenâs interceptions that are a result of interceptable passes is extremely high, and the Bills are also fumbling a lot. Letâs say normal QBs throw bad passes and they hit DBs hands 20 times. The Bills have a top 3 offense by almost every category in the NFL. And Allen actually is throwing less interceptable passes than he has in the past. But they are resulting in interceptions at a higher rate than they usually do. However due to how the NFL defense are playing these top QBs, they are making a point to limit big plays. Josh Allen has been a big play machine, but this yr his big plays are down (so are Mahomes - and by a lot). The difference is Mahomes is not overly risky and can just sit there passing 5-10 yards. Allen takes risks when there isnât good reason too. Also the Bills from the top down specifically donât want Allen to run as much and be out in as much harm. Heâs been one of the best mscrambling QBs in the league, and now that has artificially been limited for his long-term health - also because he doesnât make good decisions about when to just go out or slide.
This is very different from TVD. TVD just literally is lost out there right now. Any throw he makes past 10 yards is a prayer to not be directly to the db right now.
The âifâ game. Smh.
