I'd say 85% of media are saying that. Even guys like Pat Forde and Wolken.Finebaum was even saying Miami >ND

A lot of you are in denial. They moved Alabama up one spot for one reason so that if they lose they can drop them down 1 spot, show that it had an impact, but still have them in the playoffs. So that means if Bama loses they swap back with ND, meaning that Miami and ND will not be next to each other and this dream H2H scenario won't happen.
It is clear BYU needs to lose and Bama needs to win, that is the only way to ensure that ND and Miami are next to each other and the H2H situation could possibly work.
TV that’s it. The only logical reason to drag it out would be tv ratings. That may or may not be true.Unfortunately this. Wouldn’t it have made sense to swap us now? Why wait.
I see that shockingly.
They have actually given themselves an out after this weekend’s games and believe it or not I think Notre Dame could be the loser.
I know I talk about the great 8 and ND being untouchable, but it’s actually the SEC running this thing.
They have saved Alabama by moving them ahead of Notre Dame. They have put Notre Dame in a lose lose situation if BYU wins they are in Notre Dame is out if BYU loses now there’s a head-to-head competition between Miami and Notre Dame and they will ultimately potentially maybe make the right call and you head to head as the tiebreaker!!!!!
There is also a scenario where Alabama gets smoked BYU get smoked and they potentially move Miami to nine and leave Notre Dame at 10. I find that highly unlikely due to it being a championship game but let’s say the quarterback gets hurt or Alabama gets beat 40 to 3 it could happen!
So to me, this is a total hedge, but they fired a warning shot, saying Notre Dame you are definitely at risk!
I’m actually happy with the results today where they are squeezing Notre Dame to Miami!!!!
Josh Pate says Miami should be in over ND.Do you have a Twitter account or listen to any national podcast covering CFB?
Miami fans are FAR from the only ones saying this.
Josh Pate says Miami should be in over ND.
They ain’t moving us ahead of ND. I feel sorry for all these dudes thinking it’s gonna happen. Why are you so convinced the H2H win over Notre Dame will only come into play if we are 10 and 11? They stated a couple of weeks ago that it comes into play when they're in the same pool, which they are in now (9-12). They are already taking H2H into account and preparing to **** us anyways.
If the committee is “forced
If the stars align and this happens…the committee is “forced” to have Miami ranked ahead of ND, the question you should ask yourself would be why weren’t we ahead to begin with 2 weeks ago bc there haven’t been any outside variables.
This is why its so annoying. The committee is going by what they think they know (when they're clueless) assuming ND is just some better team now than we are.Go listen to Wasserman and Staples. Ari has been going nuts for the past couple weeks, he's absolutely losing his mind now.
They both just said Miami can beat any team in the country. This **** is depressing. I really think if they let us in this *****, we can genuinely win it.
I'm normally the odds guy but this at least does make sense.
Who would’ve thought the CFP committee’s “rankings” would be a farce. I don’t expect them to do the right thing and flip us, but in the unlikely situation dominos fall are way and they do…it’ll make them look really bad.JD Pickell talked about it yesterday. Committee put us 18 after the SMU loss since it figured we were just going to keep dropping from there. Cristobal’s November meltdowns were as predictable as the sun rising. They didn’t expect Miami to win out. They avoided flipping Miami and ND for weeks hoping we would go away. Now the committee’s nuts are in a vice- they know they can’t ignore H2H so they may be laying the groundwork for flipping UM and ND in the final rankings. They haven’t done it yet as they need to see how the conference championships play out. If BYU wins they never have to address H2H since we both get bumped.
you could be right, but taking Bama's last 3 games then.... Loss, Barely beat 5-7 team by 7, and then another loss... they should drop below us at that point... you know... "looking at the most recent trend of the team"eh
you are missing the MOST LIKELY outcome
BYU loses and is out.
Bama loses and the committee drops them a spot BEHIND Notre Dame
and still in front of Miami taking the final spot for the SEC
did you think about this likely scenario?
So I watched Chris Canty this a.m. pump up ND. He down played the H2H as, it was the first game and we only won by 3. Then downplayed ND losses and cited their 10 in a row win streak. Also citing their points scored and against. Failed to note that we had better numbers over the season. This is the problem with some media spewing numbers and bias with no context. It was all a fluff BS rant. Besides he’s a Virginia alumn, and by that nature hates us. Back at ya mfer, Va. S**ksyou could be right, but taking Bama's last 3 games then.... Loss, Barely beat 5-7 team by 7, and then another loss... they should drop below us at that point... you know... "looking at the most recent trend of the team"
