I couldn’t disagree with you more. This isn’t the NFL where you can suck your way to high draft picks and eventually a decently talented team, aka the browns. Plus, players nowadays are going to the Bama and Clemsons of the world knowing they’re gonna sit for 1-2 years because of the guys ahead of them. Early playing time isn’t as important anymore as being on a competitive team. Manny stood up at the podium and said the only way forward at Miami is through recruiting after the Sparty loss while his current class is ranked 45th in the country. If you’ve ever followed Miami recruiting you know most of the top talent we’re shooting for spurns us and goes elsewhere and our classes typically drop in ranking as signing day nears and passes.

By firing him now, you put CFB on notice that Miami is open and you get a head start on coaching search. Look at all the names being linked to USC since they fired Helton. This includes Mario Cristobal. You let recruits know that this level of play will not be tolerated. You let the current players know you want better and prevent a mass exodus.

Can’t land an established HC with Blake as AD. If BOT want to keep Blake as a fundraiser then bring in a football AD who has full control and power tasked to hire a new HC. Blake is the reason we are in this mess with Manny so he can’t be trusted to find the next HC. If the BOT doesn't understand this clearly then we will perpetually suck as a football program.

Stay with the class. Nobody on this board wants James. The administration does because 'supposedly' he can fundraise. You do realize nobody here has been called into a meeting to make a decision one way or the other, especially you, since you've obviously been asleep and not paying attention.

Pretty simple. Manny needs fired now because nothing good comes from keeping him around. He had his shot and failed.

Let Manny go, make Jess HC and Shoop DC. It’s not going to be worse than what we are watching now. ****, I’ll bet you money Jess would at least get rid of the ridiculous sideline antics. We have some really good coaches on staff. Let them audition for the next HC.

Diaz Sr. is currently the Chairman of the FL Democratic Party. Putting actual politics outside, that makes you an influential and powerful person in the state of Florida. This is certainly having an impact on the decision to fire him or not, and likely had a role in his quick hire originally.

Nepotism has been of the worst things about this program for years. The whole Jon Richt saga was ridiculous but it's not as bad as having a HC stay because of it.

Bama and uga are recruiting a gymnast down here. The parents were told by the coach that they see a huge ratings jump coming from women’s collegiate gymnastics. They showed her projections from the sec network.
Like I’ve been saying since I joined here. The laziest athletic department in the acc is in coral gables.

I’ll keep using the South African diamond mine analogy until they get it right. We’re letting other schools come here and take the resources that make them millions of dollar a year in revenue and free media exposure for the entire school during the playoffs.

Imagine south Africa refusing to mine diamonds but letting another country come in and take them for free. It’s literally what’s been happening for years.

What I'm hoping is that the basketball starts slow and by December its going to look like both basketball and football will need new coaches. No chance they let James stay then. Gotta have a new AD fill those spots.
 
Never thought I would look forward to playing UNC? Or the reasons I’m looking forward to playing UNC !? Wow. Never figured I’d have more football sense than a major D1 college team. Life comes at you fast! Lmao
