Not getting my hopes up.

Dear Manny,

Thank you for your service. We have prepared a nice go bag filled with a nice check, some socks, keychains, and coupons to UHaul. We appreciate your stay and wish you the best.

K Thx Bye.
And just like his defensive scheme, the coupons are expired.

Said this my whole time as a student there. They have no business savvy. No one there understands anything there but brown nosing. Just a bunch of kissing up to the “leaders” there but no actual sense of being great.

Anyone with half a brain and some street smarts would understand simple ROI and how a guy like Nick Saban despite his astronomically high salary is actually cheaper than Manny because he brings in tenfold with his winning. Money follows winners.

Indeed. If Miami started running the acc like Clemson did, the school could name its price and let the apparel companies fight over who gets the contract instead of being on the verge of getting dropped for being a huge waste of money.

Many moons ago, got my masters in Sports Admin.

Did a paper back then about how an athletic program's performance can affect academics at a school. Used as an example, they increase in quality and quantity of applications at Boston College which just so happened to occur during Doug Flutie's time at the school.

More applicants overall, a wider national applicant pool and higher test scores of applicants all around the time that this was happening:

Same thing happened at NWU when what’s his name “took the purple to Pasadena “.
Applications increase and therefore the qualifications of incoming students increases. It happens for very good schools, not just crappy Alabama’s.

Little known fact:
Jimmy Johnson and Urban Meyer are BFFs. Part of the reason Meyer turned down Texas is that JJ recommended it.

What does Miami have to lose by asking JJ to have a chat with Meyer about restoring the program to glory? In all seriousness, I don't think Meyer will return to cfb unless it's for ND. Doesn't matter what USC offers, he turned down Texas because he was tired of having to deal with boosters, recruiting, etc. And it was taking a toll on his health. He'll never have a better deal than Texas. Plus California sucks. Believe it or not, Meyer has experience as an Assistant AD. Now that would be the something. If Meyer quits the NFL due to health concerns, then see if he wants a cushy gig as the AD at UM. Let him have his side gigs as a talking head on the cfb shows and go fishing down in the keys with JJ on the weekends. That would be a **** of a semi retirement gig.
I don’t see Urban quitting after 1 year, even if he goes 1-16.

There is zero reasons to keep Fake James, you want this guy to hire our next coach?
Football, baseball and basketball programs are a failure and someone mentioned keeping him around for fundraising?
What a friggin joke … he should be fired for the Ed Reed show he created just to appease the fans.

THANK YOU! It’s not hard to understand. Was just talking to my client, who’s granddaughter attends Bama. She said while she hates the fact as a student she’s forced to go to at least one home game (literally), she said just being there for 2 yrs now, they’ve been upgrading the campus like crazy & funding has been flooding in. And it’s not just the FB program, now the B-Ball program has become a top 7 program, T&F has become top 20. The domino was FB, of course.

Edit: just verified. They started their 2nd major project this 2nd to the tune of $350m. Not bad for a “bumfck” town.
