Coach Ice

Ice is a good coach. And, because he is well tied and respected in Dade he would be dangerous if he goes to another school and recruits against UM.

Richt should consider keeping him.

Ice needs to be on staff you people are idiots if you think not high school coaches in dade respect ice plus our rbs dont fumble

Didn't read entire thread but I say no. He was brought on IMO simply for recruiting since he has all these ties to SoFl. Well IMO, we gained nothing and recruiting stayed the same. Did he coach up any particular group really well? No. Did he boost recruiting? No.. Did he do anything really to help the program? No.. He needs to go.

Richt doesn't need a guy like Ice.

Golden did; however, there was no point. Everyone knew Golden was not going to be here very long.

"Everyone knew Golden wasn't gonna be here very long" LMAO!! That's funny I could've sworn the guy was supported and worshipped by at least 85% of the fanbase up until the end of last season. Wow, the new narrative is that *everyone* knew he wouldn't be successful here. How can someone rail that our o-line is horrible and not then see that our young RBs were successful and efficient at running the ball and not fumbling despite this fact? The RBs also were good in pass protection, when did any of them whiff on a blitz pick up??? Besides Ice's obvious recruiting connections and rapport with the players, his group has definitely over-achieved

Let me see if I understand this. Ice's unit underperformed, but it was someone else's fault. Ice didn't make much of a splash in recruiting, but that was also someone else's fault. But Ice is really important to the program.

@HarrietTubman

Are you simply going to down vote anyone you disagree with? This is a message board. All you been doing for the last few days is down vote anyone you don't have the same views with. You know, if someone writes something that makes sense but you disagree with you simply reply.

Why would you take the time to write, "didn't read the thread" instead of just reading the thread? This is an admission that u have read the thread and most of what you are about to write had already been disproved and refuted. It's a warning that U are gonna be redundant and inaccurate.

Because I don't need to read the thread to know my opinion on Coach Ice. Golden brought him in because he thought the dude was going to clean up everywhere south of Orlando. He brought him in for no other reason. Well he failed at this and his coaching left a lot to be desired as well.

Yes Marshal, what is the function and purpose of the down vote option again lol? I only down vote views that are purposely insulting to the sites collective intelligence. I never down vote for personal reasons, I actually choose them very carefully. I choose not to down vote numerous posts that probably deserve it, and 99% that do, definitely do not deserve a response. Why don't U take your own advice.

Correct. Everyone was clamoring for the guy saying he'll help recruiting and connect with the kids (wasn't he bad mouthing UM during the Thomas/Kirkland fiasco?)....what did he exactly help with? Signing Walton who was coming regardless?

Then what is the purpose or utility in interacting in this form of dialogue if U aren't listening to others as well? Did U write that thinking/expecting or believing that we'd be just like U and not read it as well lol.

Yearby and Walton ran beautifully against the teams that our o-line could block, they never lost fumbles or gave up sacks lol...these are facts not opinion. Also, how is it that the majority of Canes fans can understand and consider that the cloud held Golden back, but then expect that one man could lock down the State of Miami *despite* his bosses ineptitude at actually coaching football on the field? Ice and no other man could sale and overcome the product that was actually being put out on the field. And for Golden and his former apologists to expect him to single-handedly do is ridiculous. How do U guys determine who receives your empathy and benefit of doubt, and who doesn't?

If Richt needs to keep a gaggle of glorified high school coaches on his staff here to properly recruit then we wasted our money. This shouldn't be a Golden scenario when you're bringing in an unknown not from this area that needed these guys as a crutch to attempt to build relationships with high schools that had no idea who he was. So I really don't care who Richt keeps. It should be irrelevant very soon.

I want Uga's running back coach... Tim Harris can walk. Don't like how he did trayone and yearby this year. Every time yearby was in a groove he took him out and didn't bother to give gray carries
