Coach coming soon?

Chud was one of the best recruiters on the staff.

Landed Eric Wisnton, Curtis Justus, etc.

I'd prefer Butch but I'm cool if it is Chud. He was our OC from 2000-2003. So he recruited and coached our best team along with Butch.

yo anyone could call plays for that team wtf lol, n butch recruited not chud. yall giving him too much credit and its a disaster if its him

Many here say that Chud hates recruiting. So which is it?

Those examples do not help your case. Of all the talent brought in by the staff, 2 highly rated TE recruits is the example? Granted, one turned into a great LT. The other never played a meaningful snap for UM (injury) and quit football.

As long as he gets Butch to be his DC it will not matter. Butch recruiting for JJ as Dline coach. I want Butch; no body else is acceptable unless Butch walks up to the podium with him.

If its Chud who on the staff is going to do the recruiting? That is the most important part of college success and Chud does not fit the bill.
God, do we have to keep Coley if its Chud? I would hope not.

I would keep him on staff if possible under Chud.
It is going to be Chud's offense anyways.
He could be the OC like he was at FSU and if we do well he can slurp up some
of the success and land somewhere.
Or Chud could make him TE coach/AssistantHC....some type of figurehead type
of position.
Lots of ways to do this.
It's like DC at Bama, we all know who really runs that defense.

I think his buyout is offset by any other job he takes.

So if Miami pays him 2.5 mil....Indy owes him 1 mil till the end of 2016.

With Chud at 2.5 mil per year, you probably get....

Ken Dorsey as CO-OC/QB coach.

Todd Grantham as DC for $1 mil. He was on staff with Chud in Cleveland and hates Petrino.

Cristobal as Asst HC and TE for $750k.

Grand Slam!!!

Doesn't Chud make 3.5 million a year currently thru end of 2016. If I am wrong, what is his current salary.

Ok I undersand. But what happens in 2017, 2018 an 2019. Does Chud take a million dollar cut in those years or do we see UM giving him a million dollar per year pay raise for those following three years. Maybe he is using the possibility of leaving as a bargaining chip to extend his current contract or see if there is another NFL opportunity around. They gave him the title of Associate Head Coach because they didn’t want to lose him to other NFL jobs.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Rob Chudzinski is officially off the market for coordinator positions around the NFL.

The Colts named Chudzinski as their associate head coach Tuesday, announcing a deal that will keep the coveted former Browns coach in Indianapolis.

Chudzinski had been mentioned as a candidate for offensive coordinator positions with the Rams and 49ers, but Colts general manager Ryan Grigson had denied teams permission to interview him.

"We're excited to keep Chud in our family," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said in a statement. "He's been a critical part of our operation and we're looking forward to sharing even more success in the future."

Chudzinski, who was fired by the Browns after only one season as their coach in 2013, spent last season as special assistant to the head coach with the Colts. He and Pagano worked together at the University of Miami.

Chudzinski also served as offensive coordinator for the Panthers (2011-12) and the Browns (2007-08) and was the assistant head coach/tight ends with the Chargers (2009-10).

I'm fine with Chud. UM just needs to open up the checkbook to bring in a complete, comptetent, very good staff. Total staff needs to be about $7MM. This will get us very good coaches that will teach technique, motivate and recruit!

I goto bed every night sleeping great knowing that it wont be Chud. That alone makes me happy and gives me hope.

Can't be Chud or thankfully Mario for that matter. Would have to be someone who isn't working right now. Butch or
Schiano.
