What is Brandon Innis doing these days?He gets a lot of heat because he tends to miss on the local elite kid every year (Jeremiah Smith, Brandon Innis) but he’s pulled a bunch of really highly rated kids. Including last year’s top local kid, Josh Moore. Receiver recruiting has far outpaced almost every other position on the roster, especially DB, LB and QB and the players have produced on the field. So, I don’t really get the hate. If the receivers play well this year and he manages to land Keys or Russell, I don’t think anyone can *****. If he misses on those guys and nobody in this receiver group stands out, he could be in hot water.
It’s who we are.Beard first class trader,Carr and Robinson 2 top 100 players and 1 composite 4 star, beard second class Moore,Toney, and the Alabama kid all composite 4 stars, so far he’s gotten 6 4 stars in 2 years and he’s receivers balled out last season I don’t get the hate
Carrying Jeremiah Smith’s helmet and shoulder pads before and after practice. What is Brandon Innis doing these days?
Bingo!!!So basically, Coach Beard is the new Mike Rumph
It looks like it who we replaced for t rob our corners play got worse under t rob didn’t land any top corner in recruiting and then left to alabamaSo basically, Coach Beard is the new Mike Rumph
I blame Shalala.
TRob didn't coach Corners at Miami. It looks like it who we replaced for t rob our corners play got worse under t rob didn’t land any top corner in recruiting and then left to alabama
i was at a few practices that year and DVD cheered and brought spirit but one thing he didn't do was coach anyone, especially CBs.TRob didn't coach Corners at Miami.
He was the Safeties coach.
DVD was the CB's coach in 2021.
It was The CloudI blame Shalala.
We’ve only had 1 in the history of our programrecruit a first round top ten wr lock from HS yearly that’s all I ask for every position coach. At wr all you need is one to make defenses play you differently. Other positions you need multiple of those types. He will always be judged for the JS thing, is it fair? Probably not but that’s college coaching/recruiting. No excuses is the motto, imo get someone who can help get those types at wr.
Toney can be that first round type but he’s not the prototypical type that matches up vs elite secondary’s. When we start getting that we will take it to the next level at wr. I think that miss will cost him his job and we will see that this season. Last year we all knew secondary was weak and it showed it was obvious. Even though the homers thought Powell was an elite get (lol)….. we told them. This year wr DT and linebacker need to show out. It’s that simple and that’s up to the players the staff brought here. Players have to ball coaches can’t play for you. So it’s on them and the coaches for bringing them here.
Get it done
I know.i was at a few practices that year and DVD cheered and brought spirit but one thing he didn't do was coach anyone, especially CBs.
Well we better get a second one that grows up a mile away from UM. And even then he may end up at OSU if he’s good enoughWe’ve only had 1 in the history of our program
Toss in the development we’ve seen in WRs… Colby and Horton made huge strides under him.Beard first class trader,Carr and Robinson 2 top 100 players and 1 composite 4 star, beard second class Moore,Toney, and the Alabama kid all composite 4 stars, so far he’s gotten 6 4 stars in 2 years and he’s receivers balled out last season I don’t get the hate
I know.
That's why I was one of the biggest proponents of him not being the CB's Coach & earning his stripes elsewhere.
But the point is, people are always incorrectly assigning the blame of the CB group for that season to TRob when thats not what his position was. He was the Safeties Coach that year.
People just always want to let former Canes off the hook for their failures in Coaching by trying to place the blame on someone who has a proven track record & very clear resume.
The narrative that gets spouted on CIS is that TRob isn't a good Coach due to his 1 year at Miami, when it's beyond obvious that's not remotely close to true.
T rob has a track record of getting corners to the nfl that’s true but he’s teams haven’t produce anything when he was dcordinator at South Carolina they were thrash at Florida they were trash,he’s teams have never won anything.and the cornerbacks he’s gotten to nfl only horn has had a good careerI know.

1. What does his short stint as a DC have anything to do with his ability to Coach CB's?T rob has a track record of getting corners to the nfl that’s true but he’s teams haven’t produce anything when he was dcordinator at South Carolina they were thrash at Florida they were trash,he’s teams have never won anything.and the cornerbacks he’s gotten to nfl only horn has had a good career
He didn’t develop Jackson he was 1 year at Florida got injured and redshirt and then got kicked off the team,Davis was at auburn which t rob coach for 1 year and left and Robinson graduated from fsu. As for Miami Adrian Colbert and Michael Jackson are still collecting nfl checks coached and developed by rumph1. What does his short stint as a DC have anything to do with his ability to Coach CB's?
Not every position coach is meant to be a playcaller
2. That's not true.
J.C Jackson, Carlton Davis, Keanu Neal, Jammie Robinson, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Terrion Arnold, Brian Branch, O'Donnell Fortune & a whole host of others were all developed by TRob throughout his career & have been productive college & NFL players.
Can you say the same for any Miami CB's Coach over the last decade +?
