Has anyone said Gattis and Steele weren't mistakes?

1 or 2 years? We're starting year 2.
 
From last nights game, trying to extrapolate anything other than Clemson played as poorly as they possibly could is meaningless.
Clempson beats dook 9 out of 10 times.

My only point is none of the excuses we've seen the last 18 months are valid from this point forward. If some people bought into it last year so be it. If we aren't competive in every game, 100% of the blame goes to Mario and any attempt to "explain" (make excuse) is irrelevant. Including "TVD was hurt" because that is already gearing up to be used.

100% of the blame goes to Mario for last year too.

I'd be willing to bet Cutcliffe left Duke with a much better culture than Manny left us. Cutcliffe got the best players he could, Manny got the highest rated players he could, regardless of how they fit in the puzzle.

Duke mopped the field with us last year and beat the crap out of Clemson last night...yes the turnovers helped but if Duke doesn't muff the punt in the 2nd quarter Clemson is SHUT OUT in the 1st half! Duke beat up Clemson physically the entire game. So Elko beat Clemson by double digits in year 2 and so should we considering we have much better talent than Duke. Stop making excuses for Mario

I've clearly said that's not what I'm doing. I'm saying the two inherited completely different situations. That doesn't absolve Mario of anything.

Oh not at all. He was just a cog in a machine but either way, he was apart of something that he never came close to doing at Miami
