So now we have to spend all year listening to "Duke did it immediately, why can't we?".
Why not??? Mario gets more passes than Radio did for water boy's pay..

From Clemson 247 site:
- Clemson outgained Duke, 422-374, and led the Blue Devils in first downs, 29-17.
-Running back Will Shipley rushed 17 times for 114 yards and caught a career-high-tying six passes for 29 yards with a touchdown.
- Quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 27-of-43 passes for 207 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also added 34 rushing yards on 12 carries.
-The defeat snapped Clemson’s 12-game winning streak against conference opponents, the fourth-longest streak in school history.
The game snapped a 45-game streak in which Clemson had recorded at least one sack. Prior to Monday, the last time Clemson was held without a sack was in November 2019 against Wofford.
Clemson was held without a rushing touchdown for only the second time since the start of the 2018 season. Clemson has now rushed for a touchdown in 68 of 70 games in that span.
Clemson dropped to 37-17-1 all-time against Duke.

Definitely not the Clemson of old. They have no weapons on offense aside from Shipley.
Their front 7 isn't even the same as recent years but still legit with 2 1-2 round picks at LB.
Best believe they'll be clicking on all cylinders October 21. Teams get hyped to play Miami. They don't to play Duke. After 20 years of irrelevance, I don't know why it has to be like that but it is.
Guess we should all just talk about the 5 year rebuild instead.LMAO. Got it.
Because Mario has already shown that he is a winner. He took over a horrendous program. Did you notice how many new players there are?
Guess we should all just talk about the 5 year rebuild instead.![]()
Well, he has to win going forward.... none of this 7 win, building the program nonsense
So 8-4 is an acceptable step forward?
If you are in any way shape or form implying that ******* DUKE FOOTBALL is closer to prominence or was a better job than Miami you are CORRECT.Well, you can be realistic about the program, or you can get distracted by every shiny object that wins on a particular Saturday.
Win the freakin ACC for crying out loud..
If you are in any way shape or form implying that ******* DUKE FOOTBALL is closer to prominence or was a better job than Miami you are CORRECT.

So win the ACC, or get rid of him?
agreed, clemson has dipped a bit but not nearly as much as the score or last night made it seemThat was one fluky *** game.
First and goal from the 7, 4 and 1 and you come away with a grand total of zero points?
How does that even happen?
Im one of those guys that ignores excuses when programs like USC, Colorado, Washington, TCU and Duke show you that you can win by making good coaching decisions. The excuse making is for simps. But you keep holding your breath hes got 9 years left. You're one of those guys who think that 2001 was just a few years ago.
I'd be willing to bet Cutcliffe left Duke with a much better culture than Manny left us. Cutcliffe got the best players he could, Manny got the highest rated players he could, regardless of how they fit in the puzzle. If you are in any way shape or form implying that ******* DUKE FOOTBALL is closer to prominence or was a better job than Miami you are CORRECT.

Stop making excuses for him going forward. .. that's all.
Didn't you just say "win the ACC"? Do you stand by that? Win or you're gone?
None of that has much relevance in my argument. Motivating players and hiring competant staff members are the defincies Mario created. Team morale is not as big a piece as you guys want to believe. Winning cures all isn’t just a saying.I'd be willing to bet Cutcliffe left Duke with a much better culture than Manny left us. Cutcliffe got the best players he could, Manny got the highest rated players he could, regardless of how they fit in the puzzle.
There's a lot more that goes into winning than people realize.
