Problem is Emory and Judd are very similar as far as we know to any of those people you mentioned. Reese poffenbarger or whatever his name is was considered a **** good QB at the level he played at before he came here. How did that look in a VERY limited role here? Like a dumpster fire. Every one of those QBs from what they have shown is average at best. You can't sit here and say that's what we should be targeting for a starting QB here. They're either all under developed short dudes with no weight and basic understanding of the position or bigger dudes that are simply superior athletes who seperste themselves at the high school level by exploiting that and sinking back down to mediocrity at the next level. In certain very small sample sizes they come from a background that has enabled them to receive high end positional training but that's VERY rare. Personally a QB from down here is gonna really have to be special for me to say I want that kid. Hence Neiman Lawrence (who we'll see if he continues to mature physically and into an optimal game or if he does like most down here do and excell just till they become a known factor and promptly get figured out. That i would of took CJ bailey over Judd Anderson. (good decision that bailey went to nc state and is getting live reps though)
I'm not sure in a true competition Emory Williams would beat out Keyone Jenkins at FIU. Tough kid has the protype size you look for..some athleticism. His arm seems weak to me. He didnt win much in high school.
I take it Shane Dawson isnt a huge recruiting fan.....he locks in early on guys and pretty much hones in.
I personally dont need a south florida or florida qb. I just want a player. **** ive been on n on about Dia Bell not being all that and he is rated a 5 star.
In 2027 I'm a big fan of https://247sports.com/Player/trae-taylor-46134912/
Looks like we are gonna lock in Trent Seaborn sooner or later though.
@Coach Macho do you agree with @gogeta4 assessment in the QBs down here we should prioritize? Cause myself it's a hard pass for 95% of em & that's generous.
