Great character common with Mendoza and Sellers. Really impressed with Sellers in interviews he’s a great leader

He’s missing high a lot this year. Like a ton. Probably part of more pressure than last year and just some mechanics that need more work

He could go pro but he’d be wise to take a big payday from us and then go Top 5

I know mocks are all over him but he needs work imo
Sellers is Anthony Richardson with more football intellectual capacity but not as good of an arm and I think would have a higher chance to making it in the NFL as a solid QB if he could get his accuracy in check.

He definitely could benefit from coming back to college (which he is) and resetting from last year and developing other parts of the game in terms of moving of the first read and then taking what is given to him. He should’ve moved on from USCe.

Right now he just holds on to the ball way too long and when he makes the proper read or actually has time to make a throw, he’s missing the throws consistently.

His accuracy dropped 5% points from last year, which is a huge number, especially when he attempted 5 less throws this year compared to last year.

Potential is surely there and I liked him last year.

Mendoza also didn’t have an offensive line at Cal but he was completing throws at a high rate and that team won only because of Mendoza and the good defense they had, especially since Ott didn’t play up to standards, likely due to the o-line.

Is there any chance we don’t take a qb and have Emory, nickel and Coleman battle it out? If we take a transfer I’d lean torwards getting a guy who has multiple years of eligibility this go around
Dude, are you serious right now? Emery, let it go, man! SMH There isn’t a quarterback on our roster right now they can win us games flat out. Maybe nickel or Coleman in a couple of years but right now, it’s portal or bust.

I’m a CCHS alum and agree 100% with Memnon on Mendoza. I see a very good college QB. I see a great kid who made his family, alma mater and community proud. I see a young man who presents himself well, is a phenomenal teammate and represents all that I love about college football. But, I do not see athletic greatness.

"I'll only admit how wrong I was when Mendoza wins two Heismans like Archie Griffin."

Congratulations to Mendoza, he's the best QB in College Football. 2900+yds & 33TD's is really elite stuff.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like it in College Football history.

I lost faith in the Heisman voting years ago, but Mendoza's numbers aren't much different than Rourke's.
His talent is, which is why he will be drafted so much higher and why Indiana was able to beat good teams this year.

Last year they were a can crusher and got exposed against Ohio State and Notre Dame.

I'm not taking anything away from him, he was key to their success. In the last 20 years, has a Heisman winning QB had less than 3000 yards without having ridiculous rushing yards also like Cam Newton?
