Christian Pellage Announcing Friday at 2 PM

Okay, I thought this might be a 2017 kid or something. For someone that has an offer from every school in North America and one in Peru this has been the least fanfare for what seems like a potentially realistic commit.

Plus he's 6'7". Once we put 50lbs on him he can take out Feder when the sidelines clear in our NC rematch against OSU.

According to Nash Williams, he is choosing between Miami, UF and South Carolina.

FWIW Scott Patchan told me he thinks he will pick Miami.

Really? if he picks UM what does it make Merrick less of a priority?

Isn't merrick a guard? Would mean we would have to push out christian, gauthier and maybe mahoney. Dont forget about milo who might commit at U day

I got no problem with the staff pushing out the lower rated guys if necessary.

Sucks but that is the nature of the game.

I'll be honest here. Pellage a kid I always wanted but thought we would never get. Always thought he was gonna go to UCF. UCF not even in his finalists so call me shocked.

We're landing guys who I thought would turn us down and go elsewhere. St. Louis, Richards, Scarlett, Bruce.

Sign me up on Pellage.

What a coup would it be to get Pellage, Milo and maybe Merrick this week for the O-Line.

We have to be pushing at least 1-2 current OL commits out. Especially with the recent commits of St. Louis and Loftus.

Let's say if we landed Pellage, Milo and Merrick this week.

That would put us at

Brown
Christian
Gauthier
Loftus
Mahoney
Merrick
Milo
Pellage
St. Louis

That would be 9. That's way too many. Have to expect 1-2 to be pushed away. Maybe even 3.

This is all pending if Pellage, Milo or even Merrick come.

Storm is brewing down in the Gables let me tell you. We have a lot of momentum.

If what Patchan feels is true. Oh boy. This is going to be a heavy news weekend for the 2015 and 2016 classes.

How are guys like Cole, Jaquan, Irvin, Carlton,Davante, Clarington, Ridley, SBB and others not going to want to jump on to this train. Oh boy. I'm at a loss for words. I can't recall the last time we were THIS HOT on the recruiting trail.

Pellage will be tackle on next level. Merrick will be a guard. Shouldn't affect the staff's recruitment of him.

6 OL Committed

Brown, Christian, Gauthier, Loftus, Mahoney and St. Louis

3 Considering us

Pellage, Merrick and Milo

Let's assume we get 1 of the 3 considering us.

That would leave us with 7 OL...Which 2 would you cut?

Let's say we get Pellage and Milo and then we are done for this class, in the land of hypotheticals. We also see Gauthier and Christian end up elsewhere. This would be our 2 year haul on the OL:

OT: McDermott, Pellage, St. Louis, Loftus, Milo
OG: Darling, Brown, Mahoney
C: Linder, Grimsley

That's a lot of nice pieces. Some filler, but a lot of nice pieces. Also would be interested to see who gets moved inside from that tackle group. Kind of crazy to think about, but by the time he is an upperclassmen McDermott's most natural fit on our line might be inside, not out.

If we finish as strong as I pray we finish then honestly is there an o line coach who recruits and coaches up guys better then Kehoe?

How many offensive lineman are we gonna take? Can y'all see any of these guys make the transition to defense.

My guess is the staff will stockpile with guys this year and maybe go after a couple of studs next year, focus in other areas.

I'm gonna do a hypothetical. Let's say we get Pellage, Milo and Merrick.

Think take away 2. Think it makes sense being Christian and Gauthier.

Staff is high on Mahoney and Loftus as prospects to develop.

Don't think staff wants to burn bridges with Miramar with Leeward Brown.

Staff has St. Louis highest on board.

Don't think Christian gets pushed out talent wise. Think more towards numbers and us not burning bridges. And the staff would prefer the possible tackle commits we would be landing. And view Mahoney, Merrick and Brown as better guard prospects if Christian were to play guard. And think Loftus has higher ceiling than Christian as a tackle.

We would look like this for 2015 OL class.

OT: Brendan Loftus, Bar Milo, Christian Pellage, Tyree St. Louis

OG: Leeward Brown, Hayden Mahoney, Jalen Merrick

A+ haul. Make it happen staff.
