Chris Steele wavering on official visit plans to UM

Just a quick note on Steele. He is coming off his UF official this past weekend, which was his third official visit after LSU and Oklahoma. He remains locked in with his USC OV on June 22nd, and originally planned to take his Miami official June 15th weekend. However, he is now going back-and-forth on whether he will visit South Carolina instead of Miami. He may even show up at South Carolina this weekend, which would all but eliminate the Canes ahead of his July 7th decision date. As we've reported previously, UF leads here and only helped themselves this weekend.

The fact that Steele and Sanders have their name linked to those hill billys has be questioning everything.

A close friend of Steele's father is on staff at UF, and that is why the connection is so strong. It isn't bags, it isn't UF being relevant in recruiting, it's a familial connection.

We weren't out recruited, the kid just has a personal reason as to why he'd go to UF. If he's wavering on coming on an official visit, there is a 99% chance he doesn't sign here even if he does visit.

I’ll take a Florida kid like Good over a California DB 99 out of 100 times. Steele may be the exception but odds are the Florida kid turns out better in college. Good will certainly be a better cultural fit.
