If today's game shows anything, it's that he is not the coach for us. No defense and if they don't score fifty they lose. Please keep this guy away from the U! I know he's a popular choice on this board but I just can it fathom why! The same argument you re throwing out for fuente and herman is exactly what chip does. All offense, no D. And if the offense fails kiss hat same goodbye. I don't want a gimmick offense.

Butch and Potato Chip both have 1 NFL playoff appearance. One can fairly say that both are NFL failures.

Butch already proved that he could come back to college and succeed. Chip may succeed again, I don't know, and you don't know.

He may very well succeed as you saw Oregon isn't the same team anymore after players have left. I wonder if there is any shot of him going back to Oregon.

Interesting question.

Would Oregon fire a coach with a 32-7 record, two PAC-12 championships, and a trip to the NC? So they can replace him with his predecessor, who played a part in getting the program on probation?

U bring up great point but i disagree tome butch a bettet option cuz the defense,i dont think chip will have a miami d period. Maybe im wrong who knows
 
I always thought the object was to score as many points as possible, while trying to keep the opponent from scoring at all. I don't see why scoring a lot of points prevents you from playing defense.

He has defenses? I've never noticed one. Chip comes here, he will win 10 games for two years, win the coastal, ****ed off everyone, get us in trouble with ncaa and never win a NC.

I would have loved to have seen your posts on the breakdown of Saban's work with the Dolphins. At least Chip has won 10 games in a season in the NFL.

Once someone stop that high tempo thays when trouble starts. One ur three and out regularly then ur d is on the field getting smashed by bama game over.

I know chip can win the coastal easily its the championships i aim for so i look at end result, he just doesnt field defenses and even with a beast coordinator he makes the personnel descisions and i just cant sit here and say here drive my car chip. He go to fast n the end result is crash, i wouldnt be mad though just my first option for dominance nfl u defense and glory is Butch, he will have the coastal can compete with bamas of the world with his D,on top of it nfl u on monday night footballs regularly with hof players. He knows how to mend the relationships fix the fences and if je jas to break the rules **** play the game as well.

On top of that his teams quit, sound familiar? Offensive guru that he himself quits, olive garden. And dude has lamar thomas and cant recruit sfla as well as strong did and petrino is going to fail it looks like. Butch teams do the opposite of quitting once the engine starts rollin and he gets his guys in there, they fight scratch and maul for that U.

No one changing my mind on butch unless saban coaches here or *** they know u win with defense.

It doesn't. Right now, Potato Chip can't play either.

His players have stopped buying into his "process". It's been reported that he has no locker room presence (by his own choice).

Potato Chip should be fired now, but Lurie is too patient, or he doesn't want to look like he's panicking. He also stuck with Andy Reid too long.

Can't believe people want to pick up someone else's failure.
 
We have some of the dumbest fans. He can't play defense? You realize at Oregon he had a top 15 defense nearly every year in terms of points/possession.

The only answer you people can come up with to defend this Chip Kelly garbage is "but, but....Nick Saban!"

Since when does anyone care about some made up stat like points per possession? I want to win championships, not go 10-2 and give up 56 points twice per year.
