Changes to coaching staff

No, I was basing that off a 2015 article that said that the play caller during Scott's co-OC days at Clemson was Elliott.

Obviously, he coached there after 2015 so things could have changed at some point and he could be a bright offensive mind even without a ton of experience as OC/play-caller.

I was just pointing out that we don't really know because he never called plays on his own.
If Elliott is truly the play caller I find it odd the offense took a step back once he left and the offense still had Trevor & Etienne so the cupboard definitely wasn’t bare for Elliott

Yeah, that's a fair point. I guess will see since I doubt he will receive another HC offer, he'll call the plays somewhere.

My guess is Gattis, Ponce and Addae. The new OC is going to want to bring 1 or 2 of his coaches to help with the transition that knows the offense. If the new OC needs more than 1 spot, than they need to slide Fields to an off field role or part ways with Smith. Nothing against those 2 but this is a business decision. It has to be done right this time.
Lol then bye Fields. Smith is one of the reasons we’re seeing such a huge bump in recruiting.

Addae, Gattis, Ponce, Steele is my official prediction. And I’d say new DC and OC could cause more turnover if they want to bring in their own guys. DVD will probably be moved to CB coach which if we keep McClain **** it.
DVD is one of the best recruiters in the country. He’s probably improve the DB class.

Curious of the numbers how many in here are OK giving gattis another year?

I am. He deserves another year. Maybe 3 or 4 more. Gattis didn't make the loser "cultcha." We all know those consecutive years of top 25 offenses under Lashlee were a mirage. Put Gattis on a more talented team like Michigan, and he's a Broyles Award winner. Mario simply doesn't make hiring mistakes or terrible coaching decisions. That's something Manny Diaz would do, not an $8.5 million per year coach. Going into the season, everyone was predicting that UM was a 1 win team. So the fact that we've won 5 TIMES more games in one season than anyone expected means the entire coaching staff, especially Mario, has exceeded expectations.

@DMoney @Cribby we pretty much know there are going to be changes….is Mario going to look to fill these spots quickly or go through his “normal” process?
You would want to HOPE that the process of vetting candidates has already been initiated via the famous "back door" approach. The Gattis "taking another job" and his replacement announcement ... need to ideally take place within 24 hours of one another.

Yeah; I feel u, but that was a while ago & I wasn’t really interested in bringing him in as a play caller vs. the Co-title & WR coach. Would like him & another Co-(as the play caller) & QB coach. And definitely not Ponchetta.

Would be all for that! (Scott as Co-OC/WR coach)

But I’d be surprised if Scott doesn’t get some huge offers to be the sole OC somewhere. Not only that, I hope Coach Cristobal has learned his lesson about hiring all of these assistants first lol.

Mike is Belichick if Belichick was into Halo and COD.

No time limits on this exercise, I want the board to name all of the OC’s and DC’s employed at Miami where each guy provided a tactical advantage for the team

It’s a depressingly short list
