Butch recruited a lot of kids from out of state. The 2001 team was 30% OOS. Many of the stars on that team weren't from FLA.No way man ... our best teams weren’t built on kids strictly from our backyard. Why Do we keep trying this failed approach from the past 3 regimes in locking down south Florida
So no Broward County kids?Gotta cast a BIG NET. No problem with this approach, but we still need to lock down the studs that can take Metrorail to campus.
The problem was that the old staff only expanded if a kid reached out or if we were scrambling after missing on a kid. We always recruit our area but at the same time we should expand our search and the staff needs to recruit their plan B's just as hard as their plan A'sNo. We need to recruit our area first then expand. That’s the formula
That'd be cRaZy brother. Take as many of those studs as we can keep home too. Wasn't being Literal. Want the Homestead crew too. Lol. Funny though. So no Broward County kids?
Back in the Day will Schnellenberger and JJ, there was no internet, 247, Canes Insight, etc. When Howard went into Miami/Dade it was still Virgin territory. The secret has been out for a while now. If we want to lock down the 305 then we need to produce on the field to get the signatures we want, Bogels, Surtains, Jobes, etc. So in the mean time, we need to open up our recruitment to OOS recruits to supplement our needs. Win and we will see the results we want.No way man ... our best teams weren’t built on kids strictly from our backyard. So don’t recruit south Florida heavy? That makes no sense. Y’all really prentending as if we don’t recruited outside of Florida and having pulled studs at all. Weve recruited outside of Florida enough and have missed on national prospects outta state. If we can’t pull national guys from Florida what makes u think we can rely on outta state national guys to fill a classThe Formula to getting burned on signing day
All they have to do is look at 247..but facts are frowned upon hereIf you look at this site the last 2-3 years you will see tons of OOS kids offered.
Davis is going to OSU anyways so they both loseBagged up Hartley vs Rumph should be interesting
I'll give you 6 of the 8 u listed. Hightower played at IMG and Jarren was a late offer. **** they got Jeff Thomas after a late push. The problem with the last staff is that most of the coaches didn't have plan B guys at all and if they did have them they didn't communicate with them enough. Look at the Oline scramble b4 Searles was fired. Jon only went after 1 QB all year. Brown - none of his plan A rbs wanted in. Where were the plan B's during the season?DJ jonhnson
Hightower
Brevin
Jarren Williams
DJ Dallas
Jalar holley
Blissett
Jeff Thomas
Those are kids from OOS that the last staff was on that they deemed key parts of their respective clssses. Along with guys like devonte smith and others who we missed on. You can’t possibly recruit your plan A and Bs equally. There not enough time/resources to do so.
