Anyone check how this format would have looked for ‘23 season? If someone gets bored, make up the bracket!!
“But we’re special little leprechauns ”"Notre Dame could go 12-0 next season and, at best, get the 5-seed and host a mid-December first round game in South Bend."
Then maybe it's time for Notre Dame to grow a pair and fully join a conference. Like anything in life, there are pros and cons.
And my comment is directed at the X porster, not @Tony4Canes.
Per that article that was posted by someone earlier in the thread, 9 of the 12 teams would've been from B10 and SEC. Sounds like the other teams would've been Wash, FSU and TX.Anyone check how this format would have looked for ‘23 season? If someone gets bored, make up the bracket!!

Must say that it appears that article was projecting from the new B10/SEC so UW, TX, Oregon, OK were counted as already in those conferences.Per that article that was posted by someone earlier in the thread, 9 of the 12 teams would've been from B10 and SEC. With the new conference members in the B10 and SEC, that's 11 of 12 teams from those conferences..1st round:
1. Michigan - BYE
2. Texas - BYE
3. Washington - BYE
4. Alabama - BYE
5. FSU vs. 12. Oklahoma
6. UGA vs. 11. Mississippi
7. Ohio State vs. Penn State
8. Oregon vs. 9. Missouri
2nd round:
1. Michigan vs. FSU/Oklahoma
2. Texas vs. UGA/Mississippi
3. Washington vs. Ohio St/Penn St.
4. Alabama vs. Oregon/Missouri
Were these the actual 12 best?1st round:

According to the NCAA playoff committee’s final rankings before the 2023 playoffs with conference champions included. Were these the actual 12 best?
Won’t happen. How? With the size of conferences nowadays, there is a pretty strong likelihood that the teams which make the conference championship games haven't played each other during the regular season. Then, you have to hope they play a similar conference schedule.
Imagine Miami having to play Clemson and FSU in a season and finish 7-1 in conference and 11-1 overall, but due to the luck of the schedule, Duke wins the ACC because they doesn't play Miami, Clemson, or FSU in the regular season and finish 12-0 with 4 Group of 5 OOC wins?
Very true. I need a better example.Won’t happen.
Reason 1 - Duke
Reason 2 - Manny Diaz
Was joking…maybe NC State?Very true. I need a better example.
The ACC will be dissolved in a few months.Need to join ACC
Just like NFL...Gotta think depth is going to play a major role in who is left standing at the end.
Spoiler Alert:Anyone check how this format would have looked for ‘23 season? If someone gets bored, make up the bracket!!
