Curious to know if we have enough depth which was clearly lacking against top teams like Alabama.

*Who gets the "Marcus Maxey" award for player that did nothing his whole career but then comes out of nowhere and balls out like crazy this season?

*Who gets the "Carlos Jones" award for player who balled out previously and everyone thinks he will be an elite player but unfortunately ends up a flop this season?

*What end of year record would be a failure in your eyes and would make you give Mario the side-eye after year 1?

Thanks
For Carlos Jones, every recruit in the 2008 class other than Sean Spence.

D money: We know the team has been more physical in practice, but what specifically has been harder on the players? How has the conditioning improved?

Pete: How much are other businesses getting involved with NIL besides John Ruiz? Will Miami be able to compete in NIL compensation with the most elite teams or are we stuck in the 5-10 range?

I really despise some of you for necro-ing these off the wall topics! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: And stop judging people who eat their steaks well down....f*ckin savages. lol

What do we look like on defense? Who is playing on 1st and 2nd down vs base personnel? What coverage shell is our base?
Base 4-3 with different fronts/Nickel packages/Dime packages all different names for the LBs because the adjustments are different in the different bases. Its all about matching the opponents personnel so its not 1st or 2 down based its more situational based.

Mike/Will/Sam for 4-3 base
Mack/Money/Nickel(Star) for Dime & nickel packages

As far as shell from what I’ve seen from watching auburn its a mixture of 1high and 2high, coverage wise its mostly Cov1/cov3 match. The saban tree has a term called rip/liz for their coverages, you’d have to read up on it its alot to explain here but it’s basically for pattern matching from a 1high shell

Last year we ranked 75th for total defense and 19th for total offense.

If u had to choose from what you’ve heard so far which side will rank higher and why? @DMoney @Peter Ariz

Yeah that’s a good question for Pete (or whoever). What would happen if Miami didn’t have Ruiz? Would Miami be NIL competitive at all? Does Miami need to “diversify” NIL donors, just to mitigate risk?
