Canes To Adidas Confirmed

The move wont be bad. They did a good job with the Army All American Bowl uniforms and looking at there list of schools we would take priority ..

Those jerseys were terrible. Numbers aligned at an angle, names on the back of the helmets instead of the jersey itself, the terrible tiger striped socks.

I just told Carter, and he was like, "Why? Adidas sucks!" Even he knows.

Looking for a bright side my man :) I think they were better than U/A game jerseys..

Didn't watch it, so I don't know about that. They always go over the top for the kids though.

I took great pride in knowing my favorite school aligned themselves with the #1. They kept great company, now, I don't know what they're doing.

So you're gonna pretend like Adidas didn't go overboard in the Army All-American game for the kids too?

As far as the bad uniforms you keep dropping in this thread, Nike isn't immune to bad ideas either.

Adidas does a good job with A&M which is what I'm hoping for with Miami.

hope we get a helmet with the ibis on it sort of like the bird on lousville grey and black unis

Makes my boycott against buying MIAMI gear while Golden is here that much easier. Adidas....

I bet Flake insisted that they somehow incorporate the clam to a greater extent on all future apparel.

Lol, ok broken clocks are right twice a day. I've put plenty of examples in here of Adidas garbage, and all you can point to is A&M? We're hoping to look like A&M? Man o man, what has happened to The U?

This is what we are worried about? Who makes our uniforms? We won with Russell athletic! The brand doesnt matter to me, Texas A&M, Miss State, ASU, Michigan, Louisville, Nebraska, and Kanasas in BBall all have no issues. Michigan lately has but you think them being with Adidas is going to stop Harbaugh from killing it? How about Kansas pulling top recruits, always in the elite 8 at least, and stomping most teams in BBall. We aren't even known for BBall even though we have made a little noise lately so we never pull top recruits anyways. The clothing I think is more of a homerism thing since "we started it". The U hasnt been schit in years and we are worried we aren't with Nike and their god awful bra strap unis, marshmallow looking crappy shoes with a U logo on them, or these horrible renewed unis?

Our coaching sucks, our recruiting sucks, our facilities suck, and the whole **** sports program is toxic and we are worried about which chinese child slave makes our jerseys? The **** clothes in the book store aren't even Nike and people buy them. Stop with this over the top drama queen schit. Adidas I am sure is going to make sure the money they give to us goes to Athletics, and why wouldn't they? I am sure they want to push the brand and get "The U" back. I don't care what they wear as long as they win. The UA shoes are said to be the worst product as far as support and injuries so why would we want that? The uni's for their all star game were hideous and so were Adidas. Nike makes ugly stuff for pretty much everyone that isn't Oregon. So if they want to make some uniforms and give the athletic dept money wtf is the issue. The fan base is so delusional that we are anything to Nike anymore. We dont win, we dont make waves, and the enviorment is toxic why would they care.

This is a good move! I won't have to buy any new canes clothing for a while! Save that $$$.

Im not going to re-do my wardrobe for the sake of the school selling out for some money instead going with the most popular brand.

The way I think about this is... when was the last time people camped out a week to buy a pair of adidas? Short answer is never. The Nike brand resonates better with our fan base (see miami... all of miami), as most of those guys and gals are the ones spending most of what they own to buy Nikes and Jordan Brand gear.

I know there is a huge cloud over the two because of people getting robbed/shot over new Nike and Jordan releases, but you cannot argue with the popularity difference... moreover the nike equipment is simply the best on the market.

Stupid move Alma Mater, but its gonna save me money in the end.

I better get some nike stuff now, because I will never buy miami adidas gear. This is just horrible. People should just boycott the adidas apparel, maybe they would get the message.

Again, any body thinking this money goes to anything like a new coach, or a stadium, you've lost your mind.

This is without a doubt terrible. I will never wear anything Adidas, ever. Looks like I'll be the idiot still wearing the renewed jerseys, and old Nike stuff.

Not even Under Armor? Does Adidas even make baseball stuff? Just shoot me know.

Completely ridiculous.

Didn't read, but two questions.

Do you buy UM apparel?

Are you a potential recruit?

If you think this is going to mess with recruiting then you're not a bright person.

I do buy UM clothing

No I am not a recruit. Louisville and Kansas in BBall wreck schit so I guess the clothing is the issue, if they had Nike they might be like....US! You know lose to GreenBay

Hes right. Getting paid $2M more per yr is definitely worth it. As far as quality goes it will be the exact same. Dont say its bad until you see the new design, bcuz for all you know itll b better. Its not like u have to start wearing adidas and throw away nike stuff. All it means is if u get a jersey itll be adidas. And if u buy a shirt, you are obviously buying it bcuz u like it.
i just dont see the problem, and i only buy nike, so its not like i prefer adidas....

With Golden staying, I won't be buying anything Miami anyways. The way this school has let everything go down hill, I may never buy Miami again. So the whole Nike-Adidas thing doesn't mean a dadgum thing.

If we filled the stands like other big programs we probably wouldn't have switched. We aren't selling out seats or getting big booster checks. Money talks and we need it to keep up with the bigger programs. I prefer Nike like most of you but it's gon' be alright.

UCLA looks good too. I'm not gonna list every school that actually looks good in Adidas stuff because I don't care that much.

As far as looking like Miami, WTF does that even mean any more? What is our look? Stripes on the sleeves? The Clam? No stripes on the pants or stripes on the pants? We don't look like anything. Bra Straps? The 2000-2003 jerseys?

BTW, Blake James had to publicly call out Nike during the 2013 season in a soft Blake James type way for the lack of innovation for Miami athletics.

If Golden was fired today I guarantee no one would give a s*it about this....me included
