Canes in NYC

Take a honey man that's a GREAT date spot. If you're down for a great burger, go to Royale on Ave C basically right around the corner.

Alphabet City is crazy underrated.

I will definetly hit that spot up. Appreicate it bro. I will try the burgers too. For sure bro. I need to spend some more time over there. I know ALOT of the younger professionals live over there now. So it is proabbly a GREAT place to pick up chicks.

LMAO yup. I knew a fellow new yorker would get a kick out of that. I use a very similar service lmao. They use bikes now to deliver it and they have legit business cards and schit lol. I feel a little bit better about it now lol. I never had west coast ****. SO I just assumed what I was getting is trash compared to it, but I guess I probably am getting similar quality stuff to the legal stuff. Back in the day though. Thats a different story. I used to have to get it from the weedman and it would be GARBAGE unless you go to the dominincans in washington heights on st nick, broadway, or audubon . Then you would get straight fire like the stores sell.

That makes sense. I was probably thinking of seattle. LMAO my crew looks like that too.

I mean, if it's bomb, it's bomb, right? If you're not sure than it isn't the stickiest of the icky.

Same man.. I grew up in FL. Always struggling to find someone to buy from, never knew what you were gonna get or how much you'd pay. Coming out here, walking into a store, picking up a menu of bud, oil, edibles, etc etc, million different strains. It's absolutely crazy and I love it.

Anytime man. I love sharing all the amazing spots I found in my time there. I really wonder about ABC now. It was really starting to transform when I lived there, but still wild. Still the old punk rock EV with graffiti and dirty bars. I went to a place on Ave B, that I **** you not, all day every day, they've got random **** playing on the TV's. I'm not talking streaming pornhub in HD. Like VHS tapes from the 70's in VCR's. Could be anything. Fat ****, midget ****, gangbangs.

But ABC was definitely stating to change. It's weird because you've got Tompkins Square Park that's almost like a dividing line. Ave A had really come around but Ave C was still divey. The super cool thing is there are all sorts of tiny parks all over ABC. Little community gardens and whatnot. They even had turtle ponds.

Facts for sure. I just heard those stories online about people saying how the cali **** makes them feel like they are on legit drugs and schit and im just like word its fire, but its still weed. Thinking about it though its probably some guys who never smoked before smoking for the first time. I still would love to go to a legit dispensary though and get the full menu and find my favorite strand and schit lol. Its also a lot cheaper im sure once it gets leaglized. They are trying to legalize it in 2019.

LMFAOOOO that **** is hilarious. Nah it fully transformed now. I know back in the day they say it was "dangerous" and schit, but that was even before your time there, but now its just a bunch of hipsters and young businessmen types. Still has a ton of bars and a ton of hot girls though, but its no where near as cool and cultured as it used to be. I wish I was able to actually be old enough to enjoy it when it was still rough.

Actually what they say about Cali bud, in my limited experience is absolutely true. I spent a month down there, and everything I smoked was among the best stuff I've ever had. It all was just a little better than the best stuff I've had here. Crazy good bud. And I was close to Humboldt.

The prices are nuts. I can get an eighth of quality stuff for $25-30. Good stuff is $45ish. I used to spend $50 on eighths from my service, and the variety is like 100x what they had.

Ya bro. That makes sense. I get some good schit, but its not at that level and the variety is very small. IT went up to 55-60 now for eights lmao. 25 for an eight is CRAZY. I WIsh i had that lol. I would be smoking gottis to the face.

Man that hurts my soul to hear. But I'm not surprised. I think once CBGB turned into a f@#%inc Marc Jacobs, it was all over for the East Village entirely.

I remember there was a barber shop on 10th St at Ave B that had a freaking nightclub in the back. Called the Beauty Shop or something like that.

Just tells me that I left at the right time though. I saw the way things were going.

And the quality control is at another level. I've never, ever seen a seed out here. Ever. At my spot you say "I want this" and they give you 3 different packages to choose from so you get the buds you want. And they know everything about the strains. It's like going into a high-end wine shop or something.

I can just imagine. That sounds like heaven lol. They probably also use REAL qulaity control too like no sketchy pesticides. YOu don't have to worry about some guy bagging up the buds while he has the flu and schit like that lol.

I used to go to the football watch parties and Brother Jimmy's all the time, and went to at least one alumni event in NYC. Canes roll DEEP in NYC. Crazy how many of us there are. I went to school with at least 10 people that I can think of off the top of my head that I ended up living in NYC at the same time with.

Suntan U was always full of northeasterners. Being a native Miamian was rare when I was there. So I am not surprised there are some many alum up there. Many great pizza places in NYC but I still prepared old Marcella’s in North Dade over by Norland HS, especially for garlic rolls.

My wife lived in Howard Beach for a few years. There was a pasta joint Prima Pasta and a pizza place Gino's there on Cross Bay Blvd that were **** good. Was Gotti's stomping ground (literally) so they had to get it right lol

Funny cause her grandma lived thereally her whole life and knew a bunch of the goombas. She introduced me to a couple when we were having dinner at adjacent tables at the Cross Bay Diner. Surreal experience for a kid who grew up in middle class Long Island lol

De Blasio and Cuomo are dumb and dumber when it comes to transit.

The whole MTA is a mess.

That shutdown is going to be catastrophic.
My father in law was a bus driver for MTA. He got out on disability 15 years ago. You can only imagine the money he's been pulling in sitting on his *** since then. Wouldn't surprise me if daily Metrocards are $50 to pay for him and all the other lazy asses who went that route.

Was on a bus trip to NYC yesterday & as we are waiting to get back on the bus my buddy told me he thought he just seen the Miami Hurricanes.

Wish I could have seen the boys, would gave them a great pep talk.

Great info in this thread, I'm going to have to write some of these spots down.

My favorite pizza is Cassiano's on 56th and 3rd. I also think Oxford Café has some great pizza on the low. I mean the joint is a café, not even a pizzeria, but I've taken many co-workers there who don't believe it until they try it and get hooked.
