There's no maybe about it...Rumphs DB Coaching was much better. Addae hasn't done anything here, except draw the ire of parents & recruits.Maybe, maybe not. The point is I really don’t care where the dude went to school at. Can he recruit and can he coach
He was coaching at Louisville though, he went to Cinci with Satterfield.LBers at Cinci were really good during his tenure so... good, I guess?
Is he bringing the donk
Lot of grooming going on, we are not ped stateYouth, energy, and guys that are mostly unproven and not egotistical. Guys like Strong have no chance to be a HC again and felt obligated to be next in line for DC. Guys like Steele have nothing left to prove.
Ponce was the right kind of hire just a terrible fit with Gattis and having a WR coach that's OC is hard unless they have their guy for QB coach... which Gattis didn't have.
We don't need to create a pipeline of coaches to constantly promote within, instead we need to be grooming guys to leave for a promotion and going external to find their replacement. Then you hire guys back when they prove themselves elsewhere. That's the Saban model. Although he has groomed a few coordinators by first making them an analyst.
Oh I wouldn’t have ever recognized him. The only reason I was able to identify him was he had a backpack with a name tag.I 100% vouch for this post. I figured it was a former-player-turned-coach, as who would recognize a random position coach who never played the game?

This!Mario tired of recruiting all the positions by himself lol

This has been my biggest issue. We need younger , hungrier coaches.Cristobal is trying to get more young energy on the staff to recruit. When Feldman as mentioning dead weight pretty sure thats what he meant. He wants the #1 classes, not 5th or 7th.
Strong likely has 10-15 mill in the bank. Steele was at the end. Our recruiting has upgraded by leaps and bounds with the latest hires.Youth, energy, and guys that are mostly unproven and not egotistical. Smith feels like exactly that - young, hungry, no? Odd for him to move on.This has been my biggest issue. We need younger , hungrier coaches.
