Well I was speaking about him strictly from a physical standpoint and what his possibilities COULD BE. Not what his trajectory is. But since you said it, did you bother to look up Megatron's high school stats? Strikingly similar. Russell is two inches taller and 1 tenth of a second slower. But like I previously said, I see Tommy Streeter. Nothing anyone says should diminish his potential. That's through the roof. If he achieves it is something else in itself.

Miami has another big visit weekend set up as it continues to push for a top 5 class. Here is the latest I am hearing:

- The Canes are being aggressive in prioritizing top local talent. WR Calvin Russell (Northwestern) visits this weekend and is a major priority regardless of what happens with other top targets. The same is true for next week's visitor, WR Jasen Lopez (Chaminade)- I don't believe he is an either/or with WR Vance Spafford (Orange County, CA) and the Canes want him badly. I continue to like the Canes for elite RB Derrek Cooper...

As much as I hate to keep letting elite skill talent from down here leave, and obviously it doesn’t work like this but if you have your pick and whichever one you choose, you get 100% and the other one leaves, it’s a fairly obvious choice.

If this thread gets bumped in 3 years and Russell is a first-team All-America or some ****, so be it. I’ll wear it. He is a legit prospect. But with the information laid out as of June 2025, it’s an easy call.

The cool part tho? Sign them both the **** up.

This thought is so overrated. We had skinny guys like Harley, Pope, and Wiggins having no issues getting off the line. Them muddafvkas just couldn't catch a **** cold. Not so much Harley but still. Against a physical corner or not, getting off the line is more about TECHNIQUE. But yeah, I'd still prefer all of the athletes on my team to look like they're having good nutrition lol

I take both lol but if I had to pick one I think keys can be special day 1 and be a 3 and done player

Russell is legit though and if we nab him and miss on keys I still think we landed a potential star player just might not be impactful day one

I hear what you’re saying and you are right.

But talk about using some of the worst examples to make a point. Some of the most mid receivers we’ve ever had.
