Based off of this ****riding poRst, Paul Davis is the type of coRch that underachieves and then his replacements have more success with his players.

He peaked 15 years ago, then failed in the NFL, then failed at UNC.

Oh right! So the guy from Oklahoma who has coached in Arkansas, Ohio, North Carolina and Texas would turn down an offer from USC, Texas and LSU in order to coach at FIU. I understand now. So you can only chalk up UF, USF, FAU, FIU, FSU AND Miami as schools in Florida that have had coaching changes since Butch was released from UNC.

I have no doubt that once in a while, Butch will be able to keep one of our (or Louisville's, or WVU's, etc.) plan B kids committed to FIU instead of flipping to us to fill a final spot on NSD (like James King a few years ago). However, the idea of FIU beating out UM for top recruits is just laughable.

Butch will get the Plan B kids. The problem is that he has to find hungry, unemployed Assistant Coaches who want to make their mark and are starting to move up.

With this outing, it's not the recruits, it's who Butch can hire to coach with him.
