Butch Davis - Haters cost us 4 crappy coaches

Saban spent a lot of time at Greentree, with Butch, in the late nineties. Everything you see Saban doing at Bama is the old JJ and Butch way, sprinkled in with some Beilichick ideals, and concepts Saban has perfected over the past 15 years. SABAN EVEN STOLE TOMMY MOFFITT AWAY FROM UM AND BROUGHT HIM TO LSU!! Technically, Saban should be within the Butch Davis coaching tree. Butch will be definitely be able to bring the program back. It is good Les Miles and Mack Brown are showing wherewithal and success. Saban will continue to be in the hunt for as long as he chooses to coach. I put Butch right up there.

Butch is very close to Saban....Saban has always mentioned he coaches with a BD Philosophy....

Butch would've Destroyed recruiting from 2001 onward...only a Fool would argue that...And for the "Bad Game Day Coach azzhats"....He had an A+ Staff 90% assembled ready to Head to Coral Gables if Butch would've came back from 2006- 2012....HS Coach's in Dade were Crazy about him...Not only in the 90s...but the 80s as well. You know without a Doubt your a Bad ***, when JJ sends you to a recruits living room to close the deal....
 
What a bunch of cucks. This guy left and then recruited against us using Sean Taylor’s death.

I will be grateful for what he did 25 years ago but y’all look as sorry as this program moaning for this man. Battered women have more self respect.

Although this is a Fanatic (fan) blog, where cheering comes with winning and complaining comes with losing, the stakes are way too high now. The program needs a Turnaround Jack Welch specialist, who will be undeniably committed to the task, who has the experience and blue print to do it. Butch, without a doubt, is the person.

Forston and Harris both told me they've been receiving calls from UM coaches to stop the false information from spreading. I got a phone call from a UM assistant who pleaded with me and said "please put it out there that coach Shannon's contract runs through 2012. People are spreading garbage that he's o*nly got o*ne year left. That's bull."

Another well-connected Canes fan added this: "Butch Davis also told him, why would you want to live down here when all these people are getting shot. Marcus said, " You had no problem living down here with your wife for six years."

That is all standard recruiting mantra. The question is, Looking back, in 2007, if you had the opportunity to hire, Shannon, Golden, Richt, or Butch, knowing then, what you know now, who would you have hired?

U will learn one day this is what elite recruiters do they are slime on the trail. Same reason people don’t want Urban cause he’s too hood with it, same reason we didn’t hire Mullen he kept it a buck. So the fuq what we need a monster that does whatever the fuq it takes to win, fans on here are just like the people running UM. Manny talks big game but is the first man running while these other savages are about that business
