Butch Davis - Haters cost us 4 crappy coaches

How does it work in the real world? In the real world there are facts. How many of these jobs are in Miami: Dallas Cowboys, Cincinatti Bengals, UNC Tarheels. NONE? Got it. Butch Davis worked at all of them. Don't act like Butch is turning down jobs just because they aren't in Miami. That's revisionist BS and you know it.

You gotta keep moving the goalposts in your replies.

The original statement being addressed - which you apparently are completely ignorant of - is that Butch was said that he wanted to RETIRE IN MIAMI.

You see the connection? Miami? Retirement - not other endeavors before he wants to retire. Retire? Mean anything? End of career? That mean anything? Miami? Know where that is? Retire? Know what that is and how it may have something to do with him being in the Miami area - probably likes it here?

Retire? Miami? Which doesn't have diddly S**t to do with previous years working?

That extra chromosome is causing you some problems.

Oh, so you want another HC that wants to retire. Got it!

Butch, why did you pass on Ed Reed and move up to draft Kellen Winslow?

Maybe if you really watched U football, you would know that he was one of the best in that draft. And with his pedigree of a NFL dad, he was an excellent pick... no one could predict he would turn out to be a head case. **** happens.

I watched him live every game he ever played at home. That kid was awesome. But there is no way his issues weren't known, even back then.

You keep saying lazy hire, lazy hire, lazy hire.

You do realize four of the top six teams in the country did the same exact thing Miami just did right? They hired from within?

And a fifth team, Wisconsin, brought Chryst back after he left to coach Pitt.

So does that mean 5 of the top 8 were lazy?
Behold 16 years of slurp/Butch hate. Own it.

The OP is correct, but we’re beating a dead horse. No one on this board has the answer, but it’s the interweb keep on doing your thing posters. I do agree that we need to chop the head off the snake, that being Blake and Kingpin. Then maybe we get back on the right track. Maybe.

Go Canes!
