Listening to Pete's interview (great interview by the way Pete) and heard Bruce mention that. Pretty crazy, considering Miami is prob #2 on that list and we end up hiring former HC of #1 .

I'm hoping Richt turns it around, but couldn't history like that come back and bite us in the ***??? Just like how Goldens under achievements at Temple translated over to Miami.

Georgia has never been great except maybe when they had Herschel. Georgia was not considered to be a great job until Richt got there and raised expectations.

You claim to be goldensbuttcheeks.

But are you actually Al Golden himself? Are you trying to convince us that Richt won't do any better at Miami than you did?

Yes true. I mean it's not like UGA killed it pre-Richt. However, it's still not a good sign for us. What if CMR gets us to 10 wins and can't get us over the hill? I think at that point maybe Richt will retire and we can hire Mario.

I agree with all of your logic -- OBVIOUSLY -- but why Mario when Steve Kragthorpe might be available?

Because I think Mario will be ready by then. I'm glad we did not hire him this last go round. Richt over Mario today, think that's obvious.

Ban this fūcking troll already.

Every single post and thread is about how Richt sucks.

Every.
Single.
One.

Hire Mario after Richt huh? What a dumbass

I'm just protecting our best interests. We all know CMR believes he has a higher calling then football, if things are going good but not great and CMR decides to hang up his hat, who do we bring in? I mean sh*t, at least we know Mario would stop Jeudy from getting away.

Yeah, but once expectations were raised to an achievable goal, why weren't they met? Who cares what a program was in the past. There was a point in time where Miami wasn't The U and it was bottom-feeder. Once the stature of a program was lifted it's up to the coach to meet the expectations that he raised.

Richt continuously brought in top 5-10 classes, but never played for a national championship. Why? The talent was certainly there.

You are out of your mind if you think Mario Cristobol is a better hire than Mark Richt.

Man it's really not hard to moderate a board like this when the legit trolls make it so freaking obvious.

This loser needs to be banned.

I'm not thrilled or 100% sold on Richt like some people are but this poster is absurd.

Mentioning Cristobal as head coach? Oh lord. Saban recently demoted him from offensive line coach.

Jimmy Johnson went 0-10 against Oklahoma and Nebraska. How'd he do against those schools while at Miami? Georgia, while a nice school with a good program, is NOT UM. Miami can be GREAT with a good coach.

Richt is the fourth winningest coach in major college football, playing in the SEC, recruiting players primarily from Georgia. I'll believe in him until he doesn't win here.

The difference is coaching in the SEC vs coaching in the ACC. Easier road to the playoffs here. Think about it this way. If jumbo fisher was coaching in the sec do you still think he'd have a NC?
