Bruce Feldman: "UGA top underachieving teams past 10 yrs"

You lost the right to an opinion when you listed Mario as a potential head coach for us when he has no business coaching any P5 team

Some perspective, UGA underachieved through the years, but Richt is their 2nd winningest coach, 1st percentage wise, and UGA has had 22 10-win seasons in its history....Richt has 10 of them.....just something to think about

Mark Richt will kill it here. He is a good coach. He will have more talent in his backyard. And now that UGA fired him I believe he will have a chip on his shoulder. i was hard on richt until i found out the AD was micro managing him and his staff and forcing him to basically fundraise instead of call plays. he won 10 games a year at a school that wasnt good except for Walker's time there.

So many excuses.

Mark Richt will kill it here. He is a good coach. He will have more talent in his backyard. And now that UGA fired him I believe he will have a chip on his shoulder. There were probably 5-7 teams he had that were 1 game away from getting the job done. He also, for some reason, had bad luck with the injury bug at UGA. Just watching the buzz around the program, listening to his interviews, etc, and with the old players now wanting to come back and get involved the sky is the limit. I think he will be here for 10 yrs and challenge for multiple ships IMO. Even with the influx of better coaches in the ACC, the path to get to the playoffs is still much easier than the SEC. Think about it for a sec. He won 75% of his game while at UGA. Say what you want but that's quite impressive. I have no doubts we will be back and very soon.

Richt has more 10 win seasons and bowl wins than Dooley

So many excuses.

I did not make an excuse, I made a statement. Even with their injuries they were far more competitive, disciplined, and more fun to watch then we were for the past 10 yrs. My statement said he will kill it here. If he doesn't bring this thread back up in 3 yrs.

You are making excuses. Injuries? Who does not encounter injuries? Look, we both want to win. MR got complacent at UGA. He has a fresh start here. He has to start winning the big games, which he did not do at UGA.

Not trying to argue with you because we have the same Goal. Winning!

Did Richt smash your wife?

The Good Pastor would not do that. Only a savage would do that. Come on! You didn't know that?

Georgia has never been great except maybe when they had Herschel. Georgia was not considered to be a great job until Richt got there and raised expectations.

Yes true. I mean it's not like UGA killed it pre-Richt. However, it's still not a good sign for us. What if CMR gets us to 10 wins and can't get us over the hill? I think at that point maybe Richt will retire and we can hire Mario.

I agree with all of your logic -- OBVIOUSLY -- but why Mario when Steve Kragthorpe might be available?

Because I think Mario will be ready by then. I'm glad we did not hire him this last go round. Richt over Mario today, think that's obvious.

Hire Mario? WTF you smoking up there in Detroit Al?

I am all in with MR. He is here now. Can we leave the UGA stuff behind? The is no consensus view of his UGA tenure. So, we should just let that dog rest.

Fresh Start Mark!

There is a new strain of of Weed call "Pillars and Core Values." It's delicious. It will have you Trending in no time.

Sincerely,

Al Golden

This troll said Mario would keep jeudy. Lol he wouldn't even answer the phone for that nobody.
KevinCaneFace Cristobal is a big reason why Jeudy will be choosing Bama tomorrow. He's his main recruiter.
Please. The first thing Mario says when he calls Jeudy is "Hello, I'm calling on behalf of coach Saban."

Mario did worse than Golden did at Temple with South Florida recruits at FIU. Nobody cares about him. I bet he mentions Saban in every sentence just to keep recruits listening.

Whatever you say boss. I want to win and we need studs like Jeudy to win, tomorrow all that matters is he's going to Bama and a lot of that credit will be going to mario. Meanwhile we're stuck with Coach Duganberry.
Mario wasn't pulling cats like Jeudy at FIU. They are not going for him. They are going for Bama and Saban. ZERO credit goes to Mario.

Then you're gonna rip one of our coaches for a player that the previous staff didn't even talk to? The coaches that are actually making us a consideration after years of irrelevance. GTFO. Go root for FSU.

KevinCaneFace you're right. I edited my response about Coach Dugan. He did get us in the mix with him, but still this is the second place mentality that I'm so sick of Canes fans settling for. "But Coach Dugan was able to somewhat persuade Jeudy when the previous staff did not talk to him, GOOD for him" :fap:

I will give Dugan a pass this one time for you, but we need to keep these guys on short leashes. Bottom line: Jeudy needs to be a Cane and this staff has been here for almost 7 or 8 months now. That's plenty of time to recruit and turn a top kid. I mean even Golden was able to turn and persuade Coley to come to Miami in under a month.

ATTENTION!!!
ND tix just put on sale (yesterday) through ND site. $150
We want as many Canes there as possible.
Spread the word. Go get 'em.

Bama was a year ahead of this staff with Jeudy....this one ain't on them....Jeudy doesn't want to be a cane. Simple as that

Everyone took it an ran with it. Richt 1000 times better than Mario. Every UGA fan I talk to says "Richt has a higher calling than football".

Excuses IMO. We need to find someone who makes them wants to be Canes. That's what winners do. Obviously Bama found someone who made him want to go there. 8 months more than enough time.
