Anyone have the goods?
disagree. While the one coach was clearly all about ND, I thought the overall tone of the article was positive for Miami.Of the five coaches we spoke to, each was asked who they thought should be the higher-ranked team. The breakdown:
• Notre Dame: The receivers coach and running backs coach
• Miami: The head coach
• Both: The offensive coordinator
• Hedged: The defensive coordinator
The DC said he thought Notre Dame’s physicality was better but Miami was more skilled. Asked who he thought was the better team, he laughed and then went back to the outcome of Week 1: “When it’s all said and done, Notre Dame lost that game. College football’s crazy, man.”
The article reads and is constructed that Notre Dame is better, IMO. But the guys gushing over Notre Dame were position coaches. Head coach they interviewed said really good things.
And Oklahoma tooAlabama getting emasculated by FSU should have disqualified them from postseason.
Period.
Well ND lost to a team that lost to two unranked teams. There’s your spin.I swear, if I hear “lost to two unranked teams” one more time…
It’s the laziest bull**** ever, and reeks of ignorance. It’s just the retort of a bunch of bobble heads with zero critical thinking skills.
Ha - I don’t respond to them.Well ND lost to a team that lost to two unranked teams. There’s your spin.
And how true is it? SMU was ranked in the preseason. Dropped out, came back in. We lost to them at the time they were unranked. Cool. Doesn’t really matter. No one anywhere seriously thinks SMU is this God awful program. They were a CFP team last year. We lost in OT on the road. Got ****ed royally by officials but I won’t go there.I swear, if I hear “lost to two unranked teams” one more time…

The worst loss of any team in the CFP hunt, and it’s not close. And yet that loss seems to never be discussed.Alabama getting emasculated by FSU should have disqualified them from postseason.

Such a stupid argument. What is the point of even scheduling the games then?Bro....that game was played in the summer...bro...real football is played in the fall...bro.
/actually read this several times on social media.
And playoffs are largely played in domes, where it’s summer year long.Bro....that game was played in the summer...bro...real football is played in the fall...bro.

Well, we know it’s not Fran Brown. I doubt Reich commented about it on his way out. I’ve never heard Doeren talk before but the way we manhandled them I wouldn’t be shocked if he’d rave about us.I strongly suspect the HC is Narduzzi. My guess is the WR coach is on staff at Syracuse or Stanford (probably Cuse).
The offensive analyst (the sixth respondent) is a lot harder to place, given that teams have so many of those. But he gave some really good insight. My guess is that he's on staff at NC State, because they played ND pretty tight until the end. It was a 3-point game until the end of the third quarter. Conversely, Miami absolutely suffocated NC State's offense. It was utter brutality, and probably felt miserable for the Wolfpack coaches and players.
