Bring Back Butch!

The guy won like 8.5 games per year here, and the Booch cultists make him out to be Sabag II. He couldn't even win a NC with arguably the greatest collection of talent ever assembled. He had to have Larry fcking ****er win one that the Booch cultists now claim as Booch's.

He had one good season at UM then parlayed that into a career-derailing dead end job in Cleveland where he fell apart mentally to the point of openly admitting to having panic attacks on the sidelines and needing to be medicated. The entire time he was here, he used UM as a tampon constantly threatening to leave for other jobs while going 8-4 every year and being FSU and VT's bytch.

These mongoloids are obsessed with him because he signed a bunch of great future NFL players that he couldn't win anything with while they were here.

It took Howard 5 years to come from the ashes.

Same for Butch. Had to start from scratch.

The truth is - he'd had offers - but was happy here and turned them down. Thought they had a deal - but UM thought if they stretch it out just a few more weeks - they got him over a barrel. So when the Browns made another, better offer - he took it! I would - you would - anyone would.
All that time busting his *** - and now that they turned the corner - UM wants to jack him around.

I don't understand why you got a weed up urass over Butch - he snake you somehow?

At UNC - thanks to the University - they provided come crip courses for athletes and students alike - nothing to do with Butch.

That last year of his? His first team was decimated and unable to play that year - but he STILL won 8 games without a team he'd recruited, coached up - and he was looking good going into that last season.

If all you got is some passing comments from those who themselves are ignorant as Hades - it's not a good look.

He left for the Browns AFTER getting his contract at UM jerked around.

How'd that go for Miami? We're STILL in recovery mode!

He lost five games at UNC after bringing in his third consecutive solid to great recruiting class.

There is no comparison between what Howard and Butch did. Howard built this thing out thin air. Butch took over a team that had won 4 titles and played for 3-4 more in the previous dozen years. Once sanctions ended it was still an elite programs kids would do anything to play for.

Booch took over a team that was playing for an outside shot at a share of the NC. These cultists make it sound like he took over a winless team. He got in here at the heart of dynastic run.

Butch got away with all kinds of things - while at UM.

There are NCAA rules - specifically put in place because of Butch Davis - AT MIAMI. So he gets some more rules put in the rulebook - nothing new to Butch.

And that doesn't even count the Chicago Phone Book thick list after we embarrassed Texas.

****, Chise - we almost had a NCAA Death Penalty. Lost 31 scholarships! Couldn't play in bowl games! No top players wanted to come NEAR UM! At one point, we didn't even have enough players to scrimmage!

You got that memory loss thing going - Alzheimer's or that bifucation of the noodle - maybe want to see a doctor about that -

Get a few facts and quit making crap up - we also came as close as you can get to NCAA Sudden Death. All on Erickson's watch.

Schnellenberger left for the Pros - no problem there.
JJ left for the Pros - no problem there.
Butch left for the Pros - and he's Satan incarnated.

He knew he was VT and FSU's whipping boy he couldn't risk coming back and corching that 2001 team to anything less than a championship.
