This one really is insane to me. I’m still blown away we’re letting a kid gambling as outward as this BACK with a 2 game sit down lmao like a targeting gets 1!
yeah this was a unique argument. My initial gut reaction was no, that does not cure it because if he could do that and make more money, he would have gone to the draft this year as a likely 3-4th rounder. Hence him coming back to school to try and get drafted higher.Yes. 10000%
Which would just lead to the CFP getting sued.i think the committee will leave them off if he plays tbh. its already trying to keep the SEC and the big10 in and not separating and oding their own thingyeah that's CAP he will play & they will be in playoff contention
At this point teams should just ignore targeting suspensionsThis one really is insane to me. I’m still blown away we’re letting a kid gambling as outward as this BACK with a 2 game sit down lmao like a targeting gets 1!

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t they change it this offseason so the P4 champs are all guaranteed spots?Which would just lead to the CFP getting sued.
let them sue. there is nothing that would be legally binding to force them to be ranked. its subjectie.
yup. get some crackpot judge in your district to issue an injunctionAt this point teams should just ignore targeting suspensions
We should’ve done this with Lucas tbhyup. get some crackpot judge in your district to issue an injunctionAt this point teams should just ignore targeting suspensions
if im the committee, i just revise the rule for this year only. if any team has a player the NCAA ruled ineligible, they are not eligible for the CFP Committee rankings (i.e. bye bye Ole Miss and TTU)Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t they change it this offseason so the P4 champs are all guaranteed spots?
well in a normal world, no one cries when their player does something wrong. its part of the consequences of their actions. We should’ve done this with Lucas tbh
this is wht i was getting at inm y post. But it is a ridiculous requirement. Either the TRO should be granted, or it should not. To suspend him for any reason admits wrong doing.
And TRO aren’t settlement negotiations. One side or the other wins. This whole thing is a farce and the judge should be embarrassed because the ruling is definitely an embarrassment to the legal community.
yup lol. look if emory, i would have bet on the playoffs and made a bundle before leaving miamithis is wht i was getting at inm y post.
If he is good to play he doesnt need ANY suspension games at all. Hes already went through rehab and should be good to go
I mean I agree with everything you’re saying, but doing things based on ideal world scenarios and not the world we live in is idiotic, because others aren’t operating that way.well in a normal world, no one cries when their player does something wrong. its part of the consequences of their actions. We should’ve done this with Lucas tbh
this is showing that consequences dont matter in the real world anymore.
sorsby is still a young adult, but hes going through life never learning how to deal with consequences. it happened with the NBA dudes that got caught gambling by the FBI.
hes not cured of ****. hes going to continue gambling likely using a bookie instead of apps since it cant be traced. **** eventually lose a bet and wont pay (like he refused to pay Cincy) except that bookie isnt suing. theyre going to take his *** out.
So is he cleared to play of not
So is he cleared to play of not
This is for the appeal.
Yup. The trial is after the season and the injunction lets him play until the trial starts.
wrong fam, this is for the case in which the injunction was granted. So he got a temporary injunction which stays in place until trial on the merits. This is now the trial on the merits in the lower court case, date scheduled conveniently 2 weeks after CFB championship, meaning his injunction is season long. This is for the appeal.
That's the only way I see them not playing him but my money is on them not going thru wit thati think the committee will leave them off if he plays tbh. its already trying to keep the SEC and the big10 in and not separating and oding their own thing
