He also said that Texas Tech should start him in Week 1, which is the point I was addressing.

And I’d actually laugh at that, because it would be a violation of the TRO, allowing the TRO to be dissolved by the retired judge.

The whole TRO is a joke, though.

But it is a ridiculous requirement. Either the TRO should be granted, or it should not. To suspend him for any reason admits wrong doing.

And TRO aren’t settlement negotiations. One side or the other wins. This whole thing is a farce and the judge should be embarrassed because the ruling is definitely an embarrassment to the legal community.

I’m not sure it works exactly Iike you described. It’s true that teams are compensated for losing players under contract, but only if the team is willing to “sell” the player. In such event, a transfer fee (generally millions of dollars) is paid to the selling team. The player and the agent are also compensated. However, if the team refuses to sell a player under contract, then such player cannot unilaterally sign with another club (the player can still hold out, etc. but he cannot play elsewhere).

College Football will be the Wild West until the colleges/athletic departments attached to those colleges figure out a new governing board and organization...and the players have collectivized to negotiate the terms of this minor league system of football.

That seems like a very long time away right now.

Miami is leaning in to this era of football...so, let it ride. But stuff like this sucks. Every decision this organization makes can't be a battleground for prolonged lawfare.

This guy shouldn't be anywhere near a football field right now. Common sense tells you that. The fact our legal system lets him play...brutal look for them.

If our QB had been caught gambling on his own games I'd be advocating that we cut ties. If you can't see what an absolute s*** show of a circus it would be if he played then I don't know what to tell you, if anyone outside the BIG12 would even play them.

Not to mention, with everyone jockeying for a seat at the new super conference table, it's probably not a good idea to **** literally everyone off over a QB that's never played a game in your uniform.

Absolutely.

This dip**** judge has been retired for 15 years. It's like giving my 101 year grandfather (when he was alive) a driver's license. It's not "wrong", but it's not a good idea either.

Again, I can't understand why the million Twatter lawyers on social media haven't yet pointed out the deficiency where the judge does not address the likelihood of Sorsby prevailing on the merits, which has never happened in an NCAA gambling case (i.e., the player succeeding in having the NCAA overturn a permanent disqualification for betting on one's own sport/games).

I don't think the judge will be embarrassed. I don't think the judge can find his oatmeal in the morning.

Question about the ineligibility causing irreparable harm and limiting his earnings ... wouldn't the ability to enter the supplemental draft and play in the NFL mitigate that claim???

Anyone can make an informed decision regarding whether to ender the 2026 NFL Supplemental Draft. And the answer for Sorsby is obvious, it's YES.

It's so simple...make a couple of million for one more year of college, OR MAKE MILLIONS IN THE NFL...

Where is the "irreparable harm"?

Man, I hope this happens.

In 2012 we had a good squad in Goldens first season and it got completely derailed in no small part to the BS suspensions that came from the smallest of infractions. AQM career was almost completely derailed, and we lost games we had no business losing with some key contributors riding the pine. Nobody came to bat for us. everyone just laughed.

**** TT. This **** is so blatantly black and white and if they play this **** nut they are signing over their soul to the devil and will pay the price for it for years to come.
