2026 Breck Kolojay 4* OL from IMG (via Littleton, CO)

The bottom line is that if Carson Beck can regain his former playing status as playmaker then there is NO reason we shouldn't be run the table and that means beating all teams including ND and UF. That's what good coaches do when they amass talent so it's time for Mario to show us he deserves $8 million per year for a decade. So many people here claim last year was a success but I'll consider it a debacle. You have the 1st player selected first in the NFL draft and the number one offense but Mario lays a massive egg at the end of the season. The defense was the worst I've ever seen in my lifetime. MARIO MUST PRODUCE THIS SEASON AND WIN THE ACC AND GO ON TO THE COLLEGE PLAYOFFS! He has been given all the resources including a big payroll, a healthy salary with a long contract, a financial strong NIL, and excellent facilities. It's time to produce NOW! It starts with beating ND on 8/31/2025 with no more excuses.

What I would say is that everyone’s funds are limited. Some more than others. We have an elite collective but have spent a ton on retention, the #3 portal class, and a Top 10 high school class with the #1 overall player. So decisions have to be made, which is no different than other top schools.
Great point. I find it funny that the same posters who were mocking other fan bases saying we were rich again because we outbid everyone for Cantwell (allegedly) now can’t understand that the tables would turn and we would be outbid at some point for recruits as well. It’s just the ugly side of NIL recruiting now. You will win alot. You will lose a lot more.

Again, I don’t know how many times I have to say this, but I’ll say again. You cannot limit a players NIL earnings., If you do, it is against the law! Take that, however, you want, but those are the facts.
The House agreement does in fact limit NIL deals to “fair market value”, and for a legitimate business purpose.

Deloitte will determine if the $ exceeds that players worth, and if the deal is NIL or pay for play..

Miami running the table hahahaha. I’ll take things that won’t happen for $1,000.

I agree it won’t happen but it should. At the very least not lose more than one. That being said it’s usually the losses you can’t see on the schedule that trip Mario up so it wouldn’t surprise me to see us lose 3-4 during the regular season but OP’s expectations aren’t far fetched.

Splitting UF/ND and probably losing 1 ACC game is a solid outcome to me. Every year there is a better than expected team in the conference. Thankfully no GT or Clemson on schedule. Louisville & SMU should be challenging, good chance a loss could come there or one of our last 2 games in the cold as Pitt or Va Tech in late November tends to get whacky.

Agree with both of you BUT it should happens. A great coach makes this happen and as we all learned from last season with have a very challenged and incompetent head coach during day game and beyond that. I won't even call him an elite recruiter but a very good one. He certainly in my estimation is WELL OVERPAID !

And if that individual tries to limit that players NIL due to some made up “ fair market value” it will get destroyed in court and that person will lose. NIL is the law and it cannot be limited or it is against the law. That’s what this whole Eddie Obanion thing was about. Any limiting of NIL will lose in court, I don’t know how many times that has to be said for people to start realizing it. This whole house settlement is nothing but a mirage and will lose in court anytime it is challenged. Until this thing is collective bargained, get ready for court battles constantly and who’s ever in charge of this NIL clearinghouse, will lose.

Spot on. Plus we know by now it’s probably better to lose early than late

That month of November is gonna be tough even if we should be favored in every game

5 games in a month is already a lot for a team. 3 road games for a team with notoriously bad finishes

It has to lose in court first… till then NIL is fair market value and for a legit business purpose.

No doubt. The schedule makers did us 0 favors. The teams we play aren't that great but 7 in a row with no bye and most of the road games late feels intentional. But no matter what we gotta overcome it. We have enough talent to at least make the ACCCG.

So we are the “more than others” because everyone especially big teams like Georgia, bama,OSU,Texas,A&M we recruiting against have spent a ton on retention, top 10 portal classes and top 5/top 10 Hs recruiting classes.

Texas A&M’s current team stinks. They are missing that part.

I would agree with the other four- they are in a class of their own, and we need to rebuild our brand to get in that conversation.

Obviously we want to recruit the best of the best but why even entertain 5 stars if you only have a budget for one or is that not the case

You ever hit on more than one hot chick at the bar in the same night? Odds are you’re not banging em all, but the more you try, the better your odds. No different here.
