Brayden Lenius no longer visiting Miami

Its funny how so many people just cant get over the star bullsht. Even when they see things with their own eyes, they are stuck on but he's only a XX star, or so and so didnt offer him.

The kid missed half his senior year, and was in Canada last year. Went to no camps. Was a relative unknown everywhere. He has amazing measurables, just turned 17 and is still growing, and basically DOMINATED one of the best DB prospects in the nation in the state championship game.

This is the CLASSIC "sleeper" gem that comes out of no where and ends up a 1st round pick and everyone wonders "how did everyone miss this kid?".

Im not saying he WILL be a first rounder, or do jack, Im just saying, it has all the hallmarks of that kind of situation.

That said, the UW stuff makes sense, and if he's really that homesick for Canada, UW is probably his best bet.

He's not a sure fire superstar. But he's the kind of kid I think you take a chance on and see how he develops. I think this kid and Njoku are going to develop VERY nicely at the next level. I hope we get at least one.

Love that kids upside! Kid has great ball skills and high points the ball better then 99% of the receivers his height. Was very excited about adding him to this class

Dudes will like anything that moves if they mention Miami...On his film he is slow and not twitchy just like Alexcane said.... he has height and that's it.. He isn't very athletic We should not be bringing in WR's from out of State unless they are beast..Id rather take Steve IShamel out of NMB

You like him? He seems slow. And not a fast twitch guy either. Not sold on him, although I've watched very little film (and likely less than you have!).

He really impressed me against Serra, one of the best HS defenses in the country.

I see him growing into a TE. Gets in and out of breaks well for a tall guy, high-points the ball. I know that our staff really likes him.

Linus looked about as athletic as Tall Paul dunking.
 
He's young and huge and is new to playing "real" football. I'm from Canada and most high schools don't have a QB that can throw the ball to a WR, so he certainly didn't develop a thing in Canada.

****. Well you convniced me. Didnt even think about Steve Ishmael. And I like Lenius but I agree that if we have someone with a similiar skillset locally we should just move with them. So long to the kid..Have fun in UW.

How's this kid not athletic now. Could have sworn there was just a video of him a few weeks ago dunking easily.
