The kid is a High School STUD. He was great at the opening. HOWEVER, the question we should be asking is...... has he peaked physically? Can he continue to grow? Every year freshman come into the program and the thing they need most is size. If he can't get bigger, does he become a high school legend and a college jag? If he can't put more weight/muscle/size on and grow beyond what he is now, do you still want him?

This, I was never saying there was alot of haters here on Berrios but everybody seems to forget the week after him camping here, the time around The Opening and after his Ohio State visit that some people would bash the kid for no reason when he's a legit stud

They started ripping him b/c their feelings got hurt when he didn't commit on the spot after he got his offer.

I think he's built very similar to Duke.

You can't disregard his ale tic ability. Kid went to the opening and went head to head with the best athletes in the country and stood out

From what I saw on tv he was the best with Josh Malone. **** even Lane didnt look that great other then multiple blown coverages I didnt see alot of plays from him but Berrios killed it with Sean White
 
The kid has the goods! Point blank! The problem, according to most of his haters over here, is 1. where he's playing HS ball. He didn't commit on the spot, even though he NEVER SAID HE WOULD. And 3, his skin color. Don't deny it, men. I call it like I see it. The kid has balled out against every level of competition that he's faced so far, including OUR camp, AND the Opening against major comp., and he's still gets hated on. I'm willing to bet that if he was a little more darker complected, we wouldn't be worried about whether he's reached his full potential in HS, or the level of his competition (Dude clocked a 4.48-4.52, 40 and a 3.81 shuttle! U know how hard it is to put up those kind of numbers? And some of us are hating?! Really!). Be honest with yourself, men. I mean cause there's NEVER been a good player from his region. All true ballers come only from SO. Fla. SMFH.

The answer is yes, he probably has pretty much peaked physically, but it doesn't matter. First of all lets look at him from a speed perspective, he runs a 4.4-4.5 and a 3.81 shuttle, that's NFL speed, so he doesn't need to get any faster. It's seems you're most concerned with size, which also shouldn't be a problem with Berrios. Everyone ******* when someone compares him to Welker but its actually a good comparison. Welker is 5-9, around 185 pounds and plays slot. Berrios is around 5.9-10, 181 pounds and will play slot.
 
My only problem is I was in the camp that thought he would commit upon offer. He's waiting and that is fine, except this staff does not appear to wait for anyone--not after last year. I want the kid, but if staff takes someone else while he waits, oh well. For all we know Al has a scout in Nigeria timing 40's as we speak. Kid might have until 9-7 but this staff does not sleep.

You guys overrate the staff doesn't wait for anyone term....Pretty soon people will be posting "Fournette better hurry up and commit because we won't wait on him!".

He set a date, or at least a time period when he might commit and set an ov to the UF game maybe before anybody so how will they not wait? That doesn't make sense if they want him they'll give him time

Yeah I added you so it can be clear of how we have the same point. The top schools go to even NSD because if they want certain guys they will wait for them other then Texas
