1. I did not say he was overrated, nor that he is not good.

2. Competition in NC is weak outside of 4-5 powerhouses.

3. We ran the wing T and yes, I have had 200 yard games (maybe not on 9 touches) playing fb. Running right up the middle against d lines that average 200 lbs at most.

NC football is behind.

A baller is a baller no matter where he's from.

It's not just about who the player plays against, but how they project to the college level. Do their skills and abilities positively project to the next level?

Curtis Porter is from NC and he's probably our most important defensive player this season.

I love berrios. I want him more than almost any recruit because I am from North Carolina. He is a baller. I was just stating NC football is weak. Berrios could still run for 200 yards in Florida, but it would be on closer to 20 touches, not 9. I have seen the kid play several times in person.
 
Gurley went to Tarboro and they are 2A. 2A in NC is a joke, it is what I played in.

In NC, if you had 1 D1 player, your team is usually good. You don't really need talent around him. IF you have a sick running back/qb, you'll go deep in the playoffs.

You do see good individual talents, but as whole, NC sucks.

Fair enough. Sometimes a poster needs a few posts to distinguish themselves from the mouth breathers that talk endlessly like there's no other good football players outside of south florida.

We've got some examples of guys that raised questions about competition. Scott, Jenkins come to mind, I'm sure there's plenty of others. Put me in the camp that wants Berrios, bad. He might not be a dominant receiver at the next level but when you add a receiver with his skill set to some of the other guys we are recruiting, you have a nice mix of talent and attributes.
 
Berries does play in 4a though and has done well against some decent comp. he always plays tough against my former hs Garner(in a losing effort-usually their only loss :)). It's not like he plays 1a or 2a. His quickness is what separates him. He's a beast on defense too.

He put on a show vs Garner in the playoffs last year!

Berrios would ball out in SFL.... boy got heart, tough as ****, Quick as Yearby, Fast as Dixon. Beast.

This, I was never saying there was alot of haters here on Berrios but everybody seems to forget the week after him camping here, the time around The Opening and after his Ohio State visit that some people would bash the kid for no reason when he's a legit stud

They started ripping him b/c their feelings got hurt when he didn't commit on the spot after he got his offer.
