Bo sets his official visit

I'm gonna stay pessimistic on this one. I think he just wants to get his way with Satan. We're just a tool.

Though, it is not an off the wall situation. We did take Clinton Portis from Gainesville when the ball coach wanted him at CB. I just don't have any faith in us with big time recruits at this point. I need to see some success late in the game before I can get excited.
How is visiting UM going to force Saban to play him at RB? There's no contract for that sort of thing. Bo probably doesn't trust that he'll really get what he wants at bama even if Saban changes course suddenly.

A contract doesn't have to be in writing to be enforceable. A promise is a contract. All Saban has to say is, "If you come here to play football, I promise you will play running back." If Bo accepts, then a contract is formed. It's not a gratuitous promise. Bo confers a benefit to Saban in the form of his promise to play for Alabama in exchange for the promise that he will play running back.

The agreement was bargained for.

lol at this talk about enforceable contracts in this context. Cmon, man.

tidbit on dis kat......Bama & Da U will b da only schools he UOV/OV to...we in da game if his academics in order

yeah, but he doesn't seem like the kinda dude to be tweeting left and right and that "welcome home" one to Marlon Huphrey is a little discouraging..

but, that said I'm cautiously optimistic.

Yeah and TV was throwng up the U just a little while ago. Taking Bo from Bama will send earthquake through recruiting. Him, Duke and Joe instantly become about the best backfield in country. Alonzo and Melvin / Bo and Duke with Joe healing. Oh baby. Has to be a long shot, but wow it is nice to think about. If he is going to commmit, we better finda way to keep him down here until NSD. Saban will lock him in a closet until he changes his mind.

This Franchise talking head wanted to talk about contracts, so I responded. Was I wrong? Theoretically, no.

Lane ain't coming, bank on that. He also hasn't even taken his tests yet.

Bo on the other hand......we have a nice O-line haul this cycle. Couple that with he'll be behind Yeldon, Drake and Derrick Henry next year.....if Bama even puts him at RB. We have a chance, a slim one, but a chance.

It is possible...they have 3 big backs NOW who are going to be getting a ton of carries in 2014.

IMO, TJ Yeldon will leave after this season. He will 100% be the starter in 2014 barring injury. He is a big time back.

Kenyan Drake is another big back, he will be a junior.

Derrick Henry is a tremendous back and will be a sophomore, he averaged 10+ YPC as a true freshman.

Those are the three BIG backs at Bama already and all will be here in 2014. Drake (likely) and Henry will be there in 2015.

Then there is Dee Hart, Altee Tenpenny and Tyren Jones. Altee Tenpenny is a big back but was a true freshman. Tyren redshirted but he was not a big back. Dee Hart is a smaller back as well.

this young man is looking at us hard for the same reason cook went to FSU, look at their depth chart, FSU, he will probably get half of the major carries there. This guy will be our big back, Gus just did not seem right, maybe that will change this year, but who knows. If I'm Bo I would not touch Bama with a ten foot pole!!!

Thank you for that lesson on contracts. I was unaware of the intricacies of how they are formed.

That wasn't intricate.

Thank you for the lesson on intricacies.

Man, you're douche. You attack one part of my comment and when I defend myself you all of a sudden become facetious instead of continuing the conversation. You could have called me out on many points but instead you crawled into your shell. That weak.

Everyone knows that HC's have complete autonomy over these kids once they put pen to paper. Players' only remedy is transfer, which is a huge detriment to them at the end of the day. Saban can tell him whatever he wants to hear, just to get him in the door.

And who cares if there's a contract available or not? The only thing that matters is what Bo thinks. He might think he's doing something productive, when he's really not. He a kid.

Thank you for the lesson on being a douche and being weak.

Look at this depth chart. Elite kids all the way down.

I don't care if he is considering us because he likes our Drama Department.

Any elite RB could step right in and earn time at Miami. Remember Duke is injured and recovering, he also is injury prone. Yearby is injured and recovering. Dallas is no real threat and who knows if Gus will be the big back we need.

I would venture a guess that 10-15 carries are available right off the back at Miami.

If we are able to get Bo from Bama, there's no way he would start over Duke Johnson. I dont know how some of your minds would even process that. Good job on benching our best player already....SMH I really dislike yall bandwagon fans.
Clueless.

Nothing to do with bandwagon, everything to do with not projecting players coming off injuries to be all the way back.

Get a grip.

Bo would be guaranteed 2nd string which means at least 30% of carries as a frosh unless Yearby is ready then I see them both getting 5-10 carries a game with Duke taking about 15-20.

This would be an outstanding haul and double middle fingers to Sony and Cook

Tyren Jones also transferred.

Bo would still be behind Yeldon, Drake, Henry, Tenpenny at the bare minimum.

Frankly, it's irrelevant in this context. Saban can make a promise of RB playing time and switch him on Day 2.
