How is visiting UM going to force Saban to play him at RB? There's no contract for that sort of thing. Bo probably doesn't trust that he'll really get what he wants at bama even if Saban changes course suddenly.I'm gonna stay pessimistic on this one. I think he just wants to get his way with Satan. We're just a tool.
Though, it is not an off the wall situation. We did take Clinton Portis from Gainesville when the ball coach wanted him at CB. I just don't have any faith in us with big time recruits at this point. I need to see some success late in the game before I can get excited.
A contract doesn't have to be in writing to be enforceable. A promise is a contract. All Saban has to say is, "If you come here to play football, I promise you will play running back." If Bo accepts, then a contract is formed. It's not a gratuitous promise. Bo confers a benefit to Saban in the form of his promise to play for Alabama in exchange for the promise that he will play running back.
The agreement was bargained for.
