Big update from Herald

if mario is coming, manny might not be fired until mario is ready to announce he's coming, which would be Saturday, after the PAC 12 championship game Friday night

Brother, if your favorite restaurant was amazing for half your life, then changed management and/or ownership and decided to start going frozen not fresh, began having terrible customer service, and looked down at you, are you going to continue eating there because you're loyal to a fault?

Or are you going to find a new restaurant to frequent while waiting on the original restaurant to eventually get its head out of its own ***?

I'll be a Cane my whole life, but if they botch these potential hirings and continue to down the same path we've been on for 15+ years now, I'm going to have a lot more free time in my life. Anyone who thinks they must remain loyal to be a true fan is kidding themselves.

We all have our limits and this school is about to push many past theirs.

The whole problem here is we are seeing USC and UF make splash hires and we have yet to do anything. Mario (if it is him, truly) is not going to be announced until after the PAC 12 CG anyway so what is the rush? lane know she is UM's #2 so if he really wants to come here he will wait. There is something to the fact that both have been the hot names and neither has signed an extension (which usually shows a level of commitment to the current job). Sadly, we have to sit back and wait this out.

I think it is one thing to stop caring and being so invested. I am already halfway there. It is another thing to start supporting another team. That is for LeBron.
 
The thing that ****es me off the most is not even the names that came up for the AD role. I mean don't get me wrong I wouldn't be happy with some of the names that are thrown around but the worst thing is that we are conducting an AD search, taking forever to do so and left and right other programs are snatching up high caliber coaches, making us look even more incompetent.

The longer this goes on, the more likely we will be stuck with mandy for at least another year - Or even better : Manny gets fired in about two weeks, Mario got a nice little extension until then by Uncle Phil and Lane is getting hired by another team. Miami will be conducting another "search" with the goal to find a coach "that knows Miami". We'll hire Earl Little Sr as our new Head Coach who brings his son to UM. Major recruiting win on the first day of the job #MiamiBro

At this point I dont even know if I should laugh or cry... I haven't been a Miami Fan for long (2012) and I can't even imagine how many of you life long fans must feel but being a treu fan of this program is mentally tough.

UF did not make a "splash" hire. They very quickly hired a G5 coach who has potential but is very much a gamble. If we did that people would complain that we acted too impulsively and didn't consider the big names. The Napier hire is nowhere near the level of USC hiring Riley. Napier was a top target for....VT, before UF jumped in.

When Mario was in SoFla did his Mom convince him that she wanted him close, and money is not the deal breaker......
This could be the hidden factor that clinches this.....
wW do not know, but seems plausible the Mario would take this into account, along with all the other upsides we all talk about re his SoFla connections...

With the Jurich problems and folks like Radakovich probably not interested or otherwise available, sure, 3/4ths of the board would probably be thrilled to see:

Director of Athletic Operations: Zo (focus on Football)
Director of Athletic Administration: Nunez
co-equals, reporting to Frenk, Strawley asst. for both
HC: Mario (or Kiffin)

This is so much better than what we have and what was forecast over the weekend, any moping over this should stay at home. Seriously guys, if this happens, SAVE IT for your thera-****ed. <sic>
