Big O and Manny Navarro interview SIAP

Wow Navarro really went after Jarren Williams for lack of preparation and work ethic. If this is true about Williams, then I really Hope Van Dyke is the answer next year.

after what we’ve seen this season, the only experienced QB on our roster in whom I have an ounce of faith is Perry. The new qbs could easily change my opinion, but Willams can fxcking truck his lazy entitled *** into the Portal along with Tate and his plastic gf.

I had some optimism after the firing of penos that maybe a new OC could make a difference. After listening to this interview mandy is a dead man walking.

They mention some interesting points, like mandy doesnt have the connections a tenured head coach would have. No one would want to come here with him being under so much fire.

Navarro said it would take a special head coach to do good in Miami, someone who could win recruiting battles and knows how get the most out of these kids from a psychological stand point.

In a way... the fact that Navarro is saying the D plays for Manny, thats good news. Really the question becomes does the right OC get the O to rally? Just a little optimism, not getting my hopes up.

Not really. The defense played like crap too until Manny took a more active role in the D halfway through the season. If the D were full of self-motivated ballers, they would have performed regardless of who called the defense. Manny is a coordinator not a head coach.

Fat Manny Navarro hasn't been close to the program in years. He has no sources or insight. He just repeats what he reads on CIS. Not saying he wrong, just saying he don't no chit.

He said Mullen didn’t want job and was trying to get a raise , which is 100 % bs. Mullen wanted the job BOTH times he interviewed. We chose Richt and golden instead.

Manny has the worst intel of any media member.

its a good interview. the part about couch and the chain. its true. my boy said butch almost choked out santana moss once for taking his helmet off on a kick return.

Not true, he has all the intel on the next hotspot an aspiring foodie “must visits” list

I concur. So without listening to his jibberish, i read it as “wanted Mario”, ”repeating fan rhetoric to get likes” .... Manny has no juice or sauces right now...

Both agreed Manny is in basically over his head. Said he was never really revered or respected by the offense and they never really bought in. Said the next coach needs to one with proven HC success in Power 5 ball, and we need to get out of the habit of promoting coordinators...
Also made a good point about today’s athletes being millennials with a “me first” mentality focusing on individualism instead of team, and that manny fueled that mentality with the turnover chain and touchdown ring crap.

Manny should have told staff to lock all at that shït away at halftime of FIU game and laid into team. Instead he encouraged them to come out dancing like the Rockettes

Yeah I don't know how accurate the Mullen stuff was. Maybe the second time he was using Miami but the first time he interviewed, he absolutely wanted the job, and it was the interview panel that was put off by him and his so called "arrogance." (Eye roll)

Three of the four head coaches in the playoffs are rookie head coaches at their schools. Dabo inherited a dumpster fire. Did Manny actually have valid points or a solid basis for Miami needing a seasoned head coach? Not saying he is wrong, but the statement in itself is not accurate. Butch Davis, the last legit coach we had, was a rookie.

It's not the issue of being a rookie head coach. I've never been a "you need experience" guy. The issue is, does the team respect you? This team clearly does not respect him. Regardless of who recruited you, if you are a true leader and if the team respected you, they are not dancing on the sidelines down 13-0 to FIU, Jarren Williams is not posting player of the game awards online after losing to North Carolina, you don't beg Jeff Thomas back on your team after he quit on you, you don't let Jarren Williams or Tate Martell play another game here once they walk out on the team for not playing. You don't continue to encourage turnover chains and touchdown rings when you lose to Georgia Tech and North Carolina and lose a winnable game to Florida. Manny Diaz help build this culture he now craps on in order to excuse his sh*tty coaching and cover his completely unqualified ***. He's a pu$$y.

I listened to this and it's actually a pretty good listen for fans if you want to hear it. Navarro had pretty good insight on certain things like how difficult it is to win at a school like Miami if you don't know what you're doing. He was on the Cristobal train as well but him and Orlando were in agreement that it is unlikely that Cristobal would leave Oregon to come here now. Good stuff.

We’re always a day late & a dollar short on things.

The offense didn´t respect Manny as a new Head Coach? Thatś their excuse for sucking ***? His defense the previous 3yrs had been the only respectable aspect of the program. Manny shouldn´t renew some Schollys

Maybe they don’t respect him b/c he’s been here for 4 yrs. Maybe they witnessed chit behind closed doors. Just a thought
