Well if by some miracle, Lane chooses to shock a lot of people and become a Hurricane, I will eat crow and take back all I said about him being afraid of our WR depth and calling us his "dream school" with the intention of ending up elsewhere.


I'm not gonna lie, it gets really frustrating watching all these kids who supposedly grew up loving the Canes turn their back on their city and sign with one of our rivals, when they are needed to bring us back.

Don't these kids realize, that when Miami is MIAMI(the 80s and early 2000s) every player in college football fears you but wants to be you?

Golden IS bringing that back.

Don't these kids want to be part of the team that brings that first NC back to Miami and become hometown heroes in the process?

Of course all these kids have worked extremely hard to get where they are at right now, but how much of growing up in Miami has shaped the football player they have become today?

Because all these kids talk about is 305 football and south FL football.

Rep your **** city and bring a championship back home.

By the way, repping your city is not throwing up 305 hand signs on an All-American game and signing with FSU.

Repping your city is what Duke Johnson is doing.

Repping your city is what Stacy Coley, Jermaine Grace, Artie Burns, Jamal Carter, Deon Bush, Tracy Howard, Malcolm Lewis, Herb Waters, Chad Thomas, Nigel Bethel, Mike Smith, Joseph Yearby, Trevor Darling etc... are doing.


Lane supposedly grew up loving the Hurricanes, he unlike any of us, has the ability to help make them a lot better, not only with his skills, but in the way that a lot of top south FL players would want to follow him.

And its not like he wouldn't benefit tremendously by becoming a Hurricane, with all the NFL scouts that are always wanting UM players(even the scrubs in college like Sam Sheilds) and the fact that he could have the ability to put up monster stats in our offense as opposed UF's run based offense where he would do more blocking than catching.

And lets not forget the brotherhood he would forever be a part of if he decided to become a Hurricane.

The brotherhood that many top NFL players(who were not Canes) have said they wish they were a part of.

Like I said, I doubt Lane will be a Cane, but if by a miracle he does, watch out b/c the flood gates will open and our class will be top 3 with all the top kids who follow.

Driskell looks the same as he did in high school actually to me......dude just holds on to th eball and is gunshy which is never good.

Well im not a scout or from florida so i haven seen or evaluated their prospects personally but based soley off of rivals rankings....

in 2012 they got 4 star receiver Latroy Pittman.

in 2013 they got 4 star receivers Ahmad Fullwood, Alvin Bailey, and Demarcus Robinson who ppl were comparing to Sammy Watkins when he was committed to Clemson.

... those guys are young but they still can be threats on offense.

They still have some solid veteran receivers as well like Quinton Dunbar and Andre Dubose who are impact players. Also Louchez Purifoy ( who was considered the top cb in next class) converted to receiver for some strange reason, we'll see how that turns out.

Florida is going to have a better offense thats how quality bcs programs work..... they improve on their weaknesses.

As far as Driskell i dont think he is anywhere near the QB Stephen Morris is but i'm not going to assume he's been sitting on his *** all year not working on his game.... Morris did say that Driskell was one of the finalist in the QB competition that he won at the Manning Camp which i took to mean he must have improved on some things from a year before.

Let these two f*cker do their TV announcement. We will still have a top five class without them. I see at least 3 more high end players committing (Braxton Berrios, Johnnie Dixon, & Anthony Moten). We won't have to see them on the field anyways because Florida is scared to play us in the future.
 
The past will soon be the present. Kids aren't embarrassed to be all about this U. Thank the Don fOr the resurgence.

I'm not saying lane is coming here beause i don't think he will but i have heard talk the last couple months he want to try and shock people with his choice and everyone does think he will pick uf. On the miami front i remember about a month ago where a lot of people was talking about uf and bama and how miami was not in it and he said he does not know why everybody think he has given up on miami(still don't think he coming).

Everyone thinks he has given up on Miami because he keeps saying that he will be playing with Quincy next year. Miami will be in good shape with or without him if we get Braxton Berrios & Johnnie Dixon.

All he's trying to do is keep his announcement suspenseful by not tipping his hand as to who he's leaning to or if any of his top choices has fallen behind the others.

He wants drama by saying that all teams are even and they're all in the heavy consideration.
 
Who does Lane compare to? If hes Andre Johnson its a loss regardless if we are stacked at that position. If hes a jag hes a jag.

They'll have a split screen and each one will open up a pink colored envelope with a greeting card in it. Then they will read off each other's college choices in unison. Then they will drop the card and run to midfield where they will have a long embrace. Then Chad Wilson will prance around them in the back ground, much like this:

Well we will see what happens.... i know a lot of people have Lane pegged as going to UF, but I wouldn't be at all suprisied if he commited to Miami.....

I also think the reason he may be committing so early is maybe he sees Golden isnt playing around and he wants to jump on the train however as sure as i am the sky is blue Golden would wait till signing day for him if needed

I think the crew of Lammons, Lane, and Wilson are gators.....In my opinion we already got their replacements which is totally different than what we have had with shannon and coker.
