Coker couldn't recruit someone said. I suggest you go back and look at where his classes ranked and then compare them to what the Golden one has done. Get back to me once you do that.
The problem Coker had, the same one Shannon had, and the one Golden has had so far are all one and the same. They could recruit just fine, but they sucked at developing that talent as well as game day coaching.
The other issue that's been a reoccurring theme under them all is stacked / loaded classes. We'll load up on 72 WR's and LB's one year because we lost that many when we should spread out getting those need positions. A few years down the line we have 3 or 4 seniors, a junior and sophomore, but no Frosh. You lose those guys and we're stuck with inexperience at the position besides a guy or two. All of them also really hated the idea of redshirting someone and would often burn that shirt in the most perplexing and dumbass way possible.
Recruiting hasn't been the problem under any of our last three coaches and that's easy to see. Yes, it could've been better, but we've got guys everyone wanted come here and never do a thing. It's been happening at an alarming rate. It's not bad luck, it's been bad coaching and decision making, that's it.

We have went over why Golden has had poor classes up to this point, they were talking about getting rid of Miami football, lol, forgot that already?
Neither Coker or Shannon could recruit worth a ****, did they get a few great players? Yes, you need a whole **** team of great players, unfortunately neither one had a whole team of great recruits. Neither one ever recruited a great QB! Randy's 2008 class sucked. Don't care about stars, I care about talent. You think anyone needed to coach Duke up in college, the kid is a frigon natural, can he learn things along the way yes, you can't teach Dukes talent,

So JH was the best QB in the country or even top 15? NO, he is all that we could get and he's the best QB, not counting Brock, in over 10 years, all the rest were pretty darn bad and Golden still did alright last year.

No we loaded up at those positions because we had a dumb *** coach who didn't know how to recruit and single handedly got many SF coaches to hate the U.
