Was watching a Sean Taylor Tribute vid & they showed highlights from his insane game in Tallahassee in the rain.
I started wondering was that the best single game performance by an individual Cane?
Some that came to mind:

- Sean Taylor in 2003 vs FSU
- Edgerrin James in 1998 vs UCLA
- Bernard Clark in 1989 vs Notre Dame
- Willis McGahee in 2002 vs Virginia Tech

What are some others that come to mind and what do you all think was the best single game performance by a Miami Hurricane?

The thing about that Edge performance is that it probably is also viewed by UCLA fans as the beginning of almost a 15 yr stretch where they were never as relevant again and had like 1 decent season.

Dre in the 2001 NCG, considering the stakes, should be at or near the top of the list.

Correct. It also sent a message that the Canes, previously injured by the sanctions imposed after Erickson departed, were on their way back. As of that game in December 1998, the Canes became a force again on the national scene.

Ottis Anderson second half against Florida in 1978. 30 second half carries. Lou Saban road him the entire half. Miami trailed at half time 14-3 and won 22-21 for first win against the Gator since 1970. Might not have been the best but it was unbelievable to watch and he was doing it with a bad offensive line. And it was smoking hot on artificial turf.

Ted Hendricks against UF and Steve Spurrier. Didn't Spurrier get so mad he threw the ball at Hendricks?

Just read Hendricks sacked Spurrier 7 times that day, and it was the weekend after Spurrier won the Heisman. Miami won, 21-16. Sure wish there was film of that game somewhere.
