i said i wish the fins went after the other QB who is unhappy (born in SFL)
Yes and no. Tuas strength is his accuracy on intermediate routes. McDaniels offense is all about his route tree and the focus being on intermediate routes to make everything else work. Lamar's problem is besides his legs he really doesn't bring much to the QB POSITION. He's the ultimate playmaker much like vick was. But take Vicks legs away from him and who was ever scared of him beating you with his arm other than the strength of it paired with a young desean cause vick had one of the strongest arms I've ever seen. Just no clue what he was doing with it. Well Lamar has a decent arm when it relates to strength. Certainly not memorable. But him as a playmaker is what makes Lamar so unique. He's a liability with his arm. Reek would probably be just fine cause he can take the top off any defense. But everyone else would struggle greatly. Especially Waddle which would be a real crime cause he's by far the best player on the offense. I say all that BUT you may get your wish. I know they've had talks with Lamar and there's some steam on that. BUT until he backs down on this whole 100% gaurenteed contract NO ONE is going to sign him except someone really desperate.

"High level QB"

so says the only one that has led a highly successful team deep in the playoffs annually. People fail to distinguish the difference between being a high level QB & being a high level PLAYMAKER. They aren't one in the same. Lamar as a playmaker is on the trajectory of vick. He's a generational talent as a playmaker. But just the same as vick was, Lamar IS a liability as a QUARTERBACK & last I checked that's the position he plays.

Except he didn't lead them, he was greatly supported by a cast elevating his fairly basic talent. And the one time he was in the Super Bowl, he failed.

Which is only proven by the fact that Brock Purdy just led the 49ers into the Championship Game. Might having the best offensive mind, the best scheme and Aiyuk, Samuel and Kittle around you for some time helps, but eh...

And calling Lamar a liability as a QB... lmfao, I love reading your stuff, but thats so outrageously off the mark, its insane. The fact that Lamar is an above average passer in an offensive system that doesn't scheme anyone open to the point where no actually decent receiver wants to play for them should tell you the entire story. And don't start with "An elite QB elevates their players game", even Tom Brady had Andy Daltons level when Bill stopped giving him any offensive support.

I wished Miami would have signed Jimmy so that y'all can see what I am talking about, but it doesn't matter because you picked up Tuas option anyway.

And I can only laugh about Jimmy Garoppolos injury history, most of New England and the players of the Super Bowl Winning 2016 team hate the guy. He sat out with a sprained AC Joint in his non throwing shoulder and Jacoby Brissett with a broken thumb in his throwing hand played without a single complaint.

If y'all want a durable QB, draft one. Don't take Jimmy. Guy has missed games over and over. And thats me genuinely hoping you don't sign the guy not because I am scared, but because y'all would be pretty ****ed halfway through the season.

Vick got exposed when he faced defenses that kept him in the pocket. I loved when my eagles played the Falcons back then , it was easy money. Jim Johnson had that run around crap on lock.

No way I extend Jackson or guarantee him crazy money. There’s only a few guys I do that for. Qb’s that depend on the run as much as him have an expiration date and that doesn’t jive with big guaranteed money. It would be awful business to do so.

I hope he continues his NFL career but I would not wish Washington on anyone anymore
What Snyder did to Laverneous Coles was ridiculous.

A catalogue of his sins as owner:

Lamar: Let's see now, the NFL has figured out he can't beat you with his arm. They only have to worry about the legs, and he's also having injury problems and seems to be looking at a short shelf life.

Sure sign me up for $250,000,000 for a QB who likely won't get you where you want to go and will bankrupt your franchise for the next decade because he has a highlight reel kids love to see.

Or you could get Jimmy Garrapolo cheaper and he's better and he's also got an injury history.
Jimmy garrapplo isnt better at anything

I definitely don't think he's elite and I can see some of your points. Personally I give shanahan more credit for the offense over there than any one in particular person. George is a very close friend and I think he's completely elite & any QB would love to have him. I think Jimmy is essentially a game manager. But he has plenty of arm talent. My opinion Lamar doesn't have that. Atleast as of now. I know a few people that have played with him and there's been a lot of complaints. Maybe it's just sour grapes. Who knows. My brain is still too cloudy right now for more than that. I will say you definitely put some thought into that and I agree with most of it.

He'll find a home and keep collecting a check.

Yeah, I hope so. One of the true Canes of the last decade. Him and players like Perryman and Feliciano. He didn't muff punts. He made some heroic catches, like in the defeat of FSU at Tallahassee. Just keep collecting checks and then move on with a post-NFL career. Wish him the best.

I dont think he's saying Garoppolo is better than Lamar Jackson but he's saying he's a much better value for a high level QB. I agree with that sentiment. I'm already on record saying the Fins should go after Jimmy G. I think he's the best "1.5 QB" in the market. As in, he's a starter who can take a team deep into the playoffs and affordable enough to be an elite backup. If some breaks go the Dolphins way, Jimmy G "could" take them to a Super Bowl IMO.
This is why SFBay is my friend. He understands what someone says and doesn't extrapolate what they aren't.
Next beer is on me big guy.

Bring him to the Bills: Slot upgrade, plays ST and won't have and effect on the comp pick formula.

I remember watching Lamar miss throws short to the far hash at Louisville (not screens but curls or flats to the far side) and thinking he was going to struggle immensely in the NFL.

Obviously I was way wrong on the big struggle notion and am happy that he’s had success but I couldn’t believe folks were comparing him to Vick when as a kid I watched Vick throw the ball as hard (if not, then **** close) to Favre.
