Baxa to the portal

I'm not sure anything could sum up the dysfunction that was the 2019 Miami Hurricanes season more than that game where Manny brought in some kid from Mahoney-Pearson who looked 140pds soaking wet to kick because Bubba had been SOOOO bad, thinking anything would be an improvement.... well, no it wasn't, as that dude's first kick looked like a shanked chip from a drunk guy at your local muni and barely reached the endzone... so when you need a kick desperately later, you gotta go back to your big kicker recruit after that fiasco, right? ... except Bubba proceeded to shank his own and miss it. So with the game on the line, what do you do? Go back to the first guy, because, well, why not..... and he misses a game winner too. smh

I mean JFC!! It's hard to believe what I just described above happened.... yet it did.
This should not be a description of anything above lower tier junior high football

That dude is the definition of being mentally shook. Worst kicker I've EVER seen in my life.

Who was worse, Bubba as a placer kicker or Feagles as a punter?

He was a "wide right or left" waiting to happen, we need cold blooded assasins back there kicking, not the feeble minded, when you start missing extra points on a regular, its time to go, no excuses!

We might be plus 6 in wins the last two seasons with just an average punter and kicker, **** even with half the NAIA punters and kickers.

It’s crazy but true. Poor kicking/punting have literally cost us 5-6 wins the last two seasons.

It's hard to understand how bad the kicking was last season.

I've never kicked a football though the goalposts in life, but I refuse to believe nobody else on the team, or nobody on the soccer team (*lol see below) could kick better than those two.

*I honestly didn't know that Miami didn't have a soccer team. That really surprises me. And no lacrosse, no swimming, no golf. Wtf
Title IX......

Don't stop there....how about poor coaching and poor OL play?

Our problems were due to MANY factors not just kicking

We've almost had a perfect storm of problems to overcome recently...... hopefully that's all in the past

Bubba still had a boot and was very consistent on KO.

BUT THAT'S WHERE IT STOPPED.

After he doinked that xp in the VT game he blew the kickoff too and allowed a huge return. He single handedly sucked all the momentum from us with two consecutive kicks.

GOOD F"N RIDDANCE!!! One thing I always noticed before a Kick Attempt while he was waiting on the Sidelines. Absolutely NO PREPARATION no kick attempts! Nothing! Just would stand there like He was going to Pee his Pants, Just so uncomfortable looking. Like the Kid in the back of Class: Teacher PLEASE don't pick me to Answer a Question! Zero Confidence! Actually felt bad for Him And US!!! NEVER will make it at Houston or Wherever! Kid aint got It!

Yeah I know but lots of bad teams lose games because of poor coaching and poor offensive lines. That’s not uncommon. Despite poor coaching, o lines and other issues, this team has still managed to lose at least 5 games over the past two seasons simply because of poor kicking game. They would have won 3 more games last season if Baxa was just an average field goal kicker.
