I agree with most of your points except for the last. I think the offensive system is too predictable. It’s abnormally easy to see what play will be called. I don’t think Richt sets his plays up well at all
To a certain degree its predictable, at the same time that fact is excerbated by the limitations of rosier and the immaturity and unwilling to be great perry. Right now, perry is satisfied with being mediocre, and if your qb has a mediocre mindset, your offense will be mediocre. Here's what i know about coach richt, he's a rhythm type play caller, when he has a qb that he can roll with and they are in sync, his offenses will go after any defense, no matter who the opponent is, he's not gone throttle his offense down and be conservative based on the opponent like alot of coaches do, coach richt stays aggressive with his play calls the majority of the time. He only gets conservative if his qb's a F'ing up.
Now, with him being a rhythm play caller he does go thru lulls as a play caller in game, and that's going back to his days at Fsu which is why often times our games became battles and that national championship game against V-tech was a prime example, but in the end coach richt led offenses put up points, its an offense that's predicated on the individual talents on the offensive players, no gimmicks to coach around the limitations of players, so from an offensive philosophical standpoint, i dont mind coach richt being the play caller, his plays work more often than they dont.
But i understand where you coming from, but coach richt understands running the ball, the one thing i dont like is, all these qb's not playing under center, to me that negates the True play actions. If perry smartens up, and becomes a work aholic to be great, this offense can be a problem, jarren may actually just be better than perry.
