Barry Jackson...

So Miami admin thinks we are Baylor. That says it all, show is over folks.
That's the thing, they know we're not, they're just reaching & grasping at straws to justify them not having to work.

We're nothing more than a tax write off for them, they don't give one single fúck about this program & have zero intentions of doing anything that will take time away from the Golf course.

The BOT & administration are on permanent vacation as the top brass at Miami, zero work, zero accountability & rake in millions every year, easiest gig in the country.

Even if Rhule was a failure (at his current job), the comparison makes no sense.

Rhule also had HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO Baylor. This is what's so infuriating about these dumb fcks at The Hecht. They continue to spew out "examples" at other programs to compare and it makes absolutely no sense. Rhule got his cherry busted at a G5 school, first.

The rules to hiring a coach:

1. Previous, successful head coaching experience elsewhere
2. A top notch DC/OC from the NFL
3. A top notch DC/OC from an established collegiate powerhouse under the tutelage of a sustained, successful coach.

That's it. God I hate the folks at the Hecht. I need to hurry up and win the lotto to put an end to this chit show.

FSU set the new standard—1.66 seasons.

This helps. Manny was never going to be fired after 1 season. Frankly it sets a horrible precedent, Who the **** thats any good would want to coach here next if you have 1 season to turn the ship? And it's not like we have $7-8M/year to throw a a coach, especially with whatever Manny's buyout is. It's actually the reason you see certain coaches just stay put at low-end P5 jobs. They can bank $2-3M/year still and never get fired unless things get really bad.

Next year if Manny goes 6-6 or worse again, he'll be done though. 7-6, 8-5 is where it gets dicey and he prob gets a third year.

Per Barry Jackson...
UM intends to retain Manny Diaz as coach next season regardless of how this season finishes, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Diaz is 6-5 in his first year at UM, with the Hurricanes set to conclude their season Saturday at Duke and in an undetermined bowl game. But even if Miami loses both of those games, Diaz will not be fired.

The administration has faith in Diaz and believes judging him one season into a five-year contract would be unfair and premature. There’s no Board of Trustee pressure to make a coaching change, even after Saturday’s stunning loss to FIU.
There are several examples of coaches who rallied after poor first seasons. UM is well aware, for example, that Matt Rhule was 1-11 in his first year at Baylor in 2017 and has rebounded to go 7-6 last season and 10-1 this season entering Saturday’s regular-season finale at Kansas...

Matt Rhule had track record as a HC, stupid to use him as an example. We’re fvcked. Only thing I like was the use of the word “intend” at the beginning, gives some hope his *** will get let go, along with Blake!

I hate this University leadership, BOT, ADs, president. Can’t stand them. Manny and his band of losers will be here at least 4 years, if not all five. I’m done! They can all F off.

I’m aware.

Just thinking out loud: has a single reporter openly called him out on his 'ridding of disease' theme with the fact that HE HAS BEEN PART OF THE PROGRAM as a main guy now almost 4 years?
It was alluded to in Manny's presser today but he side stepped the issue.

No pressure from the BOT... I wish I had a job where I can ***** up this much and be safe.

Thats because they ALL ARE ***** UPs. They couldn’t get a hire right to save their life. If this was a corporation they’d be broke and out of work. We have IDIOTS running this University and athletic department. It’s shameful that this once proud program has been turned into the biggest laughing stock in all of college football because of gross negligence and incompetence of this administration over the last 16 years. They can’t get a single hire correct in almost two decades. It’s really unbelievable, they are this bad at their jobs.
I’m done, no season tickets, no games, no merch, no donations. ****, I wish I could get my tuition money back. They can keep the degree.

No doubt. I was trying to be nice Relly! Gotta give the reporters some props today. They actually asked some tough questions.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Again, Diaz brought all this upon himself, so I really appreciate the question of him contributing to the culture by sending out tweets, The TO chain, etc. Diaz got real defensive. Had the audacity to say that’s Miami. FOH
